Yong Kuong Yong.. Posisi attacking midfielder di KL tapi pemain sayap di skuad Ong kim Swee.
Cuma smlm, maybe atas arahan coach, Yong jarang mau cut in defence Kemboja, lebih suka crossing jer. Pace ada mamat ni, skill pun ada. Prospek cerah si Yong ni

QUOTE(syazwan @ Nov 14 2011, 09:18 AM)
dia mmg smp lewat ..sorang2 straigt from Indonesia.

btw try google search Arthur Irawan (indonesia).. I wonder why he did not make the cut for the sea games.

must be good?

Glad to see Yong KY playing yesterday...wanna see more of his ability to cut in defenders, smlm byk crossing je for strikers..one more thing his fitness kena improve utk international games..

I also can see bright future in Nazmi Faiz. His distributions n passes smlm mmg impressive...Very relax n determine player..Good for him to get NT exposure at this young age..

Fitness dan daya ketahanan atas padang pun our NT kena improve..besides skills and basic fundamentals in football, team yg ada lebih stamina akan sustain and perform well on the field esp utk game2 genting n mencabar..coz once dh pancit, player akan hilang fokus n affect their gameplay and passing..

yg pasti .. kalah ke, menang ke, harapnye kita dpt score la seketul dua ,. tk best la kalau telur ayam ..

tp betul jugak, lwn indo ni kekadang benda2 pelik berlaku ... dah 2 game, 3 red card lol ..jgn kita2 skali kena red card suda  sweat.gif
*
1st red card against singapore was justified bcoz neil vanu slapped our player. all the guys at kallangroar think it was a red card offense. 1st red card against the thais was 2 yellows. 1st for unsporting behaviour...a bit harsh but very common. 2nd for a foul in a goalscoring situation. the 2nd red card also a bit harsh. but the thai player did touch diego michiels face...which according to the laws of the game is also a red card offense. personally, i think the 2nd red was unneccesary bcoz we already won the game at that point. 3 red cards in 2 games tarnished our good performance i think rolleyes.gif

arthur had a call up to train with the U23s before the sea games, but rahmad darmawan thought he's to young to make the cut. but he already stated, as an indonesian, he will be ready anytime timnas want him.

anyway...i think for the last match RD should rotate the players bcoz it's not an important match since both teams are already qualified and SF is only 2 days after this match. players like GK andritany, LB septiahadi, CB ngurah wahyu, CM dirga lasut, winger sinaga & mandowen and striker yongki should get the nod so we can rest our star players like tibo, wanggai, okto, egi & abdulrahman...

Translate with google from SinChew interview with Yong.

QUOTE
Malaysian men's soccer team to participate in the 26th SEA Games in the list of 20, Yong Kuong Yong is the only chinese player in the squad, this is his first time with the national team to participate in official international competitions.

Fall in love with football after Brazil won the football World Cup in 2002.

23-year-old Yong Kuong Yong first into contact sports are basketball, he was a school basketball team representative. However, in Brazil 2002 World Cup win, Yong Kuong Yong influence by his friends, with his two brothers had been representatives of MCA Cup team Negeri Sembilan, and begin to play football. Although Yong's football career was started rather late, but with his efforts, he very soon to be able to represent his local team in the 2004 Port Dickson Chinese league, he play as winger to help the team win, he was also awarded player of the tournament.

In 2005, Yong Kuong Yong represent Negeri Sembilan in MCA Cup held in Penang, with his ability to play in both winger or striker role, he helped the team qualify for Top 4. In 2006, he joined the KL team in 19 years of age. For two seasons, he rarely get chance to play, that led him to consider of giving up football.

Encouraged by his brother to be a professional player.

Yong supported by his two elder brothers to become a professional player, but his mother does not agree. He listened to his mother's advice and choose to continue his studies in 2006, he dropped out soon after because of no interest. After the 2007 season, he work in Singapore for few months, but eventually returned to the team. Yong promoted to KL U21 team in 2008, with monthly salary of RM1,200 ringgit, he successfully persuade his mother to give him the opportunity to continue trying. In 2009, Yong promoted to first team player. Monthly salary also increased to RM2,800.

Had never been selected to represent for the country in any age group before, Yong had the first national team call-up by last year. February 27 2010 friendly match at home to Yemen, coach Rajagobal gave him ten minutes, he came off the bench to play right wing position.

Unfortunately, few days after that, his suffered inguinal ligament rupture in training, and recuperate for few months and suffer from relapse after comeback, that tooks him around eight months to recover.

After this season just ended, Yong has become a KL team first starter. June 18 friendly against Myanmar is the second time Yong battle on behalf of the national team, he played nearly 20 minutes as a striker. October 7 guest team's friendly against Australia, he played in the right back position more than 20 minutes.

Vietnam friendly Cup last month, Yong been selected in starting line-up as right wing in all three games. However, Yong had poor performances in Laos on October 30, Shahrul replaced Yong and scored two goals. With his outstanding performance, Shahrul took over Yong's position. In the first two SEA Games Group A group match against Singapore and Thailand , Yong do not have playing opportunities, but he said that he would patiently wait for the opportunity, once called to play, he vowed to re-prove himself.

memandangkan game vs Indonesia lambat lagi, aku boring2 sajalah cek2 umur 20 pemain kita kat Sea Games ni

Penjaga Gol: Khairul Fahmi Che Mat, Mohd Izham Tarmizi Roslan

Pertahanan: Mahali Jasuli, Mohammad Fadhli Mohd Shas, Muhammad Zubir Mohd Azmi, Mohd Asraruddin Putra Omar, Muhammad Amer Saidin, Mohammad Muslim Ahmad, Mohamad Fandi Othman.

Tengah: Mohd Irfan Bin Fazail, Mohammad Nazmi Faiz Mansor, Gurusamy Govandar Kandasamy, Baddrol Bakhtiar, Yong Kuan Yong, Wan Zaharul Nizam Wan Zakaria, Abdul Shukor Jusoh.

Penyerang: Thamil Arasu A/L Ambumamee, Ahmad Fakri Saarani, Syahrul Azwari Ibrahim, Izzaq Farris Ramlan.

kalau Safiq Rahim yang jadi pillar squad 2009 boleh jadi NT player on the following year (actually before 2009 dia mmg dah main utk NT) i expect player like Irfan & Nazmi can challenge that spot in the next 2 years or so.

paling best mesti lah Nazmi yang boleh menafikan tempat Gurusamy dalam automatic starter. Bear in mind, Gurusamy adalah DM first eleven waktu 2009

stuju ..

aku pon rasa mcm tu la .. Nazmi Faiz ni kalau taktik posession , nak slowkan permainan, simple passing etc .. long pass dia pon bley tahan aku tgk ..

tp bila kene bertahan, dia tk sesuai nak bantu defend,..

so betul la, bergantung pd taktik ..kalau kita main menyerang, Nazmi sesuai la, ..bila nak bertahan, Guru paling sesuai (tp haritu bolos dgn Thai pon Guru yg main DM hahahahaha!)

ape yg aku cuba nk sampaikan, DM atau tidak kalau dah sengal tu sengal jugak la .. dgn adanya Nazmi, corak bertahan akan bertukar kpd attacking, ..lg prefer dia main full 90minutes, ..

maybe bley polish dia punye ball control, ..galakkan dia ni tengok Adrea Pirlo punye style main mcm mana, nampak je spacing tros pass tak payah tunggu player ..pandai2 la player tu kejar bola ..hehe..

kalau Nazmi main kat liga-M .. elok la dia carik team yg main posession passing, bukan long-ball clear bola from defend tros cari winger/striker..tros melingkup nnt ..

semua kena main macam nazmi ni.... tenang.... tak buat hantaran yang susah2, pandai dummy guna gerak badan.. elak main crossing tinggi kalau x tepat, lebih baik main low ball janji dlm possession kita
