it much be better if UOB offer online trade same as others bank like MBB

i think gold is better to hold for long term. i read somewhr from a very experienced and old US Wall street investment analyst that commodity is on  the rise rite now and generally stocks will do badly. he predicted the cycle will be ard 13-17 years per cycle. so gold is expected to be good investment right until 2017 or at least 2014. Unless there are newsbreaking or technology breakthru that will reduce the reliability of limited commodity and the change of financial system by the world.

ur profit is good . but y no hold for long term?

i worked in a bank and my job revolves screening a lot of private banking and high networth customer top call and offer further product under us. I have watched a few hi profile tan sri, dato and even low profile wealthy man hold gold investment account since 2008, 2009 and leave it till dormant (more than 500g-2000g-14000g) and their value rite now is almost double.  ihave watched 1 tan sri hold 900++ gram since march 2009 back when the price is only rm110 per gram wif total investment bvalue at that time rm100-102K and now the current value its already rm154k++ in just a space of 2 years and 7 months time. thats spectacular returns...

@uexpress, u have to sell outside. uob only buys back gold that they sold.
