the 3 - 5 hours specs is just a pre-caution that your playstation2 slim won't easily fall to the category of "Lens Dead"

you can go beyond 6 hours or more. (yes. 24 hours also no problem. but must be cooling area.. [Fren playing GT 4 Endurance Map gila Sial... 152 Laps. ]

hanging is like a comman thing for the PS2. we all have hangs on ours. if it still hangs . just change the disc.

there is a batch problem with NFS : Most Wanted. a lot hangs on the NFS : Most wanted Logo Screen.

red screen can be common now a days it can be this problem.

1)your ps2 is old modchip. have to change a new one
2)the Disc got problem. change another disc
3)Modchip wiring loosen. have to resolder back. (sometimes when you put too much alchahol near the chip area. (sony chip . the biggist one. [forgot whats it calls] it will show the red screen.. )

currently is confirm is not your ps2 got problem la.

scph-50x always spoil the LA chip is a common problem. if worst. it might spoil the lens as well.

IC Browser? is there such a thing ? I'm kinda thing is just only the modchip and the diod fix.

RM 120 is ok for any around in PJ above.

you can't compare your frens and yours.. both different model. and maybe both different modchip..

if you want fast.. you compare scph-30xx and scph-50x..

then you see which is faster..

and your method if playing is allmost everbody doing.. so don't worry la.

like what mcchin said. it does have a fan inside the ps2 slim. but if you want to make a little bit more cooler. you can try purchase a mini usb coolign fan.. (helps a little... just little of cooling )

which version you bought ? v12 or v14?

hard to said.. this happens mostly on the game disc. but I can some are true if the games kept on hanging... the lens or motherboard might be the problem.

how about other games you play ? is it all ok ? god of war have 3 different batch on the market.. (you don't need to tell me is "those" ) the first one is without the fix. (some model doens't boot ) second batch they come with two disc.. (taken from bradygames dvd and make it 2 disc "special edition" the 3rd batch seems to be ok now. (yes all extra footage is still remove).

just try another disc and check it out if it works.. or you got a fren have a ps2. just check out your fren ps2 using your God Of War Disc.

no problem one. but don't play too long.. scph-50x got weak la chip. sooner or later you goign to replace it.

should be ok for scph-50x series but still you never the LA might fail on you.. (touchwood) and pray doens't happen on you..

this problem is actually you got an old modchip. usually is a blue chip.

is still the best that you play finish a game.. or changing a game always hold the reset button to make it standby mode. then only you switch off your main power (rear)

hm.. the only solution is still at KL mostly will have to change the whole Controller IC Board.

you can try. but sometimes miracle can happen but don't use any harm stuff on the cd cleaner

woah.. a very wierd problem you got there. you mean playing ntsc/j games can't be use to control ? but others region works?
