in malaysia, we play the union code... not the league... i think we do not have a league code... even our rugby body sanctions union codes only...

there are 2 codes of rugby, rugby union and rugby league. oh dont tell me you dont know that

ah i see. from where i am at now, i've yet to see a union match being aired, its mainly league week in week out

i guess you are in japan? yups, they have 2 codes there... league codes often emphasize fast attacking flow... hence you see most of the converts to union are good attacking players - wendall sailor, jason robninson, matt rogers, lote tuqiri and a few prop forwards who are genuine in attacking and defence...

naw, i'm down under right now. every friday night, its footie time on channel 9 lol. needed time to adjust myself to watching league heh and it seems to me, league's more popular here from what i gather

sigh, apparently, the day i arrived in brisbane, the crusaders were playing the reds at suncorp stadium. missed the chance to see daniel carter, richie mccaw in action dammit

owh... league is quite entertaining also... their tackles are more hard and speared... hehehe.... yups... popular in aussie as well... you should try watching aussie rules football.... even more bloody... hahaha... walaaa, take some pics dude... share it with us...

well after friday night rugby league, its usually followed by aussie rules. i do catch it at times if i'm free lol

i was on holiday in auckland once when the blues was playing home...it was back in 2004...missed the chance to see king carlos in action...

how come they dont show super 14 on tv...they used to show the super 12 last year....damn star sports..

GANDINGAN pemain lama dan baru dipertanggungjawabkan membawa cabaran negara menentang India dalam perlawanan ragbi tiga penjuru IRB Kumpulan Empat Asia di Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur petang ini.

Skuad negara yang merangkumi pemain yang pernah beraksi pada kejohanan kelayakan Piala Dunia 2007 tahun lalu, remaja dunia di China dan remaja Asia di Hong Kong, menjadi pilihan untuk muncul juara kumpulan ini yang membabitkan tiga pasukan termasuk Thailand.

Jurulatih negara, Wan Ibrahim Wan Chik, yakin gandingan pemain berpengalaman itu mampu menyekat kemaraan pelawat dan seterusnya muncul juara kumpulan.

“Mereka sudah menjalani latihan dua minggu dan saya yakin dengan pengalaman bermain di pelbagai kejohanan antarabangsa, mereka mampu merealisasikan hasrat pasukan kali ini,” katanya.

Skuad negara akan diketuai Badrulhisham Basri sambil dibantu Nor Hisham Ibrahim, Sharuddin Hashim, Nik Safuan Nik Man, Faizal Musa dan Moh Khairul Azhar Mohd Nor.

Piala KRM diteruskan

WALAUPUN dibayangi kehebatan bahang bola sepak Piala Dunia 2006, Kejohanan Ragbi Kebangsaan 2006 merebut Piala KRM dan Piala Presiden tetap berjalan mengikut jadualnya.

Hari ini, bermula saingan peringkat kumpulan kedua-dua kejohanan berkenaan untuk mencari lapan pasukan terbaik layak ke kejohanan Piala Agong edisi Ke-24 bulan depan.

Negeri Sembilan, Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM), Kedah, Kelantan, Selangor dan Kuala Lumpur bertarung dalam kejohanan Piala KRM.

Sementara Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM), Perlis, Melaka dan Sekolah Sukan Bandar Penawar (SSBP), Pahang, Terengganu dan Perak bersaing merebut Piala Presiden.

Di akhir saingan ini lapan pasukan iaitu empat daripada Piala KRM, dua pasukan Piala Presiden layak ke kejohanan Piala Agong 2004 bersama Sabah dan Sarawak yang layak secara automatik.

Sabah menawarkan diri sebagai tuan rumah pada saingan akhir kejohanan Piala Agong yang dijadualkan berlangsung di Kota Kinabalu pada 7 hingga 13 Ogos nanti.

Sementara itu semua perlawanan membabit Piala KRM akan berlangsung di Alor Setar bermula hari ini hingga Ahad.
