Piala KRM diteruskan
WALAUPUN dibayangi kehebatan bahang bola sepak Piala Dunia 2006, Kejohanan Ragbi Kebangsaan 2006 merebut Piala KRM dan Piala Presiden tetap berjalan mengikut jadualnya. Hari ini, bermula saingan peringkat kumpulan kedua-dua kejohanan berkenaan untuk mencari lapan pasukan terbaik layak ke kejohanan Piala Agong edisi Ke-24 bulan depan. Negeri Sembilan, Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM), Kedah, Kelantan, Selangor dan Kuala Lumpur bertarung dalam kejohanan Piala KRM. Sementara Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM), Perlis, Melaka dan Sekolah Sukan Bandar Penawar (SSBP), Pahang, Terengganu dan Perak bersaing merebut Piala Presiden. Di akhir saingan ini lapan pasukan iaitu empat daripada Piala KRM, dua pasukan Piala Presiden layak ke kejohanan Piala Agong 2004 bersama Sabah dan Sarawak yang layak secara automatik. Sabah menawarkan diri sebagai tuan rumah pada saingan akhir kejohanan Piala Agong yang dijadualkan berlangsung di Kota Kinabalu pada 7 hingga 13 Ogos nanti. Sementara itu semua perlawanan membabit Piala KRM akan berlangsung di Alor Setar bermula hari ini hingga Ahad. |
