well..currently im preparing for a tournament this weekend...canterbury blackhawk 7's..it will be held in padang bellamy....come everyone give support to ASAS Rugby Club...

btw, i wonder who am i going against dis saturday...hmm....

got a fren who just joined the cobra and he got a chance to play full time in last weekend's game...he said that its cobra black and cobra yellow...

GANDINGAN pemain lama dan baru dipertanggungjawabkan membawa cabaran negara menentang India dalam perlawanan ragbi tiga penjuru IRB Kumpulan Empat Asia di Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur petang ini.

Skuad negara yang merangkumi pemain yang pernah beraksi pada kejohanan kelayakan Piala Dunia 2007 tahun lalu, remaja dunia di China dan remaja Asia di Hong Kong, menjadi pilihan untuk muncul juara kumpulan ini yang membabitkan tiga pasukan termasuk Thailand.

Jurulatih negara, Wan Ibrahim Wan Chik, yakin gandingan pemain berpengalaman itu mampu menyekat kemaraan pelawat dan seterusnya muncul juara kumpulan.

"Mereka sudah menjalani latihan dua minggu dan saya yakin dengan pengalaman bermain di pelbagai kejohanan antarabangsa, mereka mampu merealisasikan hasrat pasukan kali ini," katanya.

Skuad negara akan diketuai Badrulhisham Basri sambil dibantu Nor Hisham Ibrahim, Sharuddin Hashim, Nik Safuan Nik Man, Faizal Musa dan Moh Khairul Azhar Mohd Nor.

PETALING JAYA: Universiti Putra Malaysia has described the bullying incident at its canteen on Monday as "a very unfortunate incident."

"All the students should stay cool,'' said its academic and international affairs deputy vice-chancellor Prof Dr Radin Umar Radin Soladi.

"We are very concerned with what happened." 

He added that the student affairs department was investigating the matter.

"The whole sequence and all aspects of the incident will be looked at before anyone is reprimanded,'' he said.

Prof Radin said the students could have discussed the problem with mutual respect.

"I was made to understand that a number of boys involved had just finished a rugby game and were probably pumped up because of this," he said.

Prof Radin added that from an academic point of view, there would be greater focus on teaching students soft skills such as having mutual respect for one another.  Source

3 weeks to go till the HSBC-COBRA 10s 2006 tournament!

This year, for the first time in its 37 year history, the event will be played over a period of 3 days starting Friday 8th September 2006 till 10th September 2006.  We will be welcoming  4  new teams to the fray, namely the Belgium Barbarians, the Singapore Barbarians, Aotearoa Maori Rugby and Sandakan Borneo Eagles and wish to welcome back all the returning teams to Malaysia, Truly Asia!  Unfortunately the defending champion (Samoa) as a team will not be able to join us this year, but nevertheless I am sure you will be seeing several familiar faces from Samoa in action at this year's event.
Among the notable players in the tournament this year will be Waisale Serevi, William Ryder, Mesake Davu and Filimoni Bolavucu of the Fiji IRB 7s 2006 and also Uale Mai, Mika Senio, Ulia Ulia and Alapasa Cordtz of the Samoa IRB 7s 2006.

There are LYN forumers who play men sports rugby...I thought most of you guys are just coach potatoes of F1 and EPL!

I'm currently playing for KL 'City Boys'@Bandaraya Dragon and my alumni Victoria Old Boys. The season will commence right after Hari Raya,watch out for KL 7's and the continuation of ANSARA's Alumni League.

We should have a thread of Rugby World Cup, no doubt,ALL BLACKS rules the pitch and this weekend will see the downfall of European pussies who are better of playing soccer@football...France and England.
