Which COBRA Team r u in? Blacks? Stings? C? Reserve? Start to develop your skills and talents with medium or lower level clubs. Get the feel of playing in league game. Show that you can really play. Better to develop them with experience. Do not be a sitting duck.

what benizam said is true..i had a terrible year during the 2006 Selangor league..i did have a lots of experience during my high school...but now we are playing a more competitive rugby game compared to high school rugby...right now we are playing with a lot of experience players which comes from all states and most of them have represented malaysia...i have to wait for one year to gain trust from my coach, man cina...now im playing quite a number of games in the recent Selangor premier division..

my advice is wait patiently..ur chance will come soon... smile.gif
btw,from which team are you,MR.Syxo?

QUOTE(1deception @ Nov 6 2007, 08:17 PM)
I wonder why we bother calling it a local team when half of the players playing are Fijians, this is like EPF or NHL already. In NHL,teams like Dallas All Star, there's only like 1 guy who's from Dallas, others are from Sweden,Russia etc.

This is not how we bring up the standard of rugby in Malaysia. I'm currently playing for VI Old Boys and KL RU.

I wonder why the heck ASAS got into the idea of having 2 Fijians on their team? Fiji studied in Alam Shah? Crap.
Yon (MRU) should have a standing rule preventing imports to play in the Piala Agong or any local league like Selangor League.
*
from my point of view..the presence of Fijians in our Malaysian rugby scene is a great approach..really i do...
Fijians are not that cocky if compared to some of our malaysians..
they actually teach n tell us what to do and what not to do in a certain game situation..
if we played against them,it train us not to be afraid to tackle such a big fella in front of us...
so the foreigner is the one who helps the rugby standard gone up higher than before...
but not if the malaysians still depends on the fijians only...
i really enjoy training myself with the fijians...
even my friends from NS Wanderers and also Cobra tell me the same thing...
yes their presence do left us out from the First Team selection..but what we have to do to gain our place in the team?
TRAIN HARDER,PLAY SMART..thats all i guess.. smile.gif
anyone agrees?
BTW..Yon is the only the secretrary of MRU and also the president of the SRU...
he's not the president though he have the power to brought up the matters like this...
if im not mistaken...the rules in KRS League only allow 2 Fijians on field..
and Agong cup if im not mistaken only one can be played in side the team..
but the team are allowed to register as much fijians as you can..
its better the fijians in the malaysia national team rather than the Army..
the main reason why we lost to Singapore and China in the IRB 3 series... sad.gif

Added on November 20, 2007, 5:40 pmalthough the last time i spoke with yun one of MRU top brass he said that malaysia gonna get the golds in sukan sea...i don't think it will happen.
1st of all we malaysia are without our foreign legion.
2nd there's the thais and also singapore.
*
well..malaysia is going to win the Korat SEA Games Gold Medal...

1st of all...singapore and thailand 7's team are not as good as their 15's national team...my club ASASRC have defeated their 1st n 2nd Singapore national team during the NS Royal 7's...

2nd of all...malaysia is being trained by 2 coach...md romli and also tomasi cama...under tomassi, malaysia have actually qualified for next year's Hong Kong 7's..even tomassi have brought up the Taiwan national 7's team to a level where they have never dream before...

Have faith..malaysia will won the SEA Games Gold Medal.. smile.gif

well...i accidently bumped into khairul azhar, one of the player from the korat team..
he wore a sling..one thing about malaysian player...they are fragile...hukhuk...
according to md romli, the national coach for the national team..
the lost is because of the injury problem the malaysian team had...
only 4 key players were playing in the game against the phillipines..
thats the only info that i got...
correct me if i do hav wrong information anywhere.. smile.gif
