Men - Carisbrook Replica Jersey (Harimau Malaysia) : 300.00/pc

http://www.mru.org.my/ver2/fanzones/stuff

thats the price of the carisbrook brand...can u imagine how much canterbury will cost u?last time during my high school,a plain canterbury jersey cost around rm250 each...a team consists of 25 players...that not including the shorts and socks...

its good that carisbrook have overtaken canterbury market in malaysia...at least malaysians can afford to buy a rugby jersey.. smile.gif

hmm...i think the thailand national team wears fbt for their national jersey...
its quality is just the same as garoos...

other brand of jersey,u can get brands like eider, salbros, adidas, nike, gilbert etc...
adidas n nike for sure its very expensive...
eider, salbros and gilbert are a common name in rugby...
gilbert sponsors the official ball for the rugby world cup...
teams like new zealand all blacks, canterbury crusaders and auckland blues(i think so) use adidas for their jersey...
france and england uses nike for the national jersey...

for me,the best national rugby jersey is the the old fiji in blue colour...
for the club side, its always the crusaders..!!!!
ANY CRUSADERS FANS HERE?

24 PASUKAN RAGBI BERENTAP MEREBUT KEJUARAAN KEJOHANAN RAGBI BLACKHAWK CANTERBURY SEVENS EDISI KE2

IRB announces Player of Year nominees

6 NOVEMBER 2006

The International Rugby Board has announced the shortlist of players nominated for the prestigious IRB Player of the Year Award. The five short-listed nominees were unveiled at the London launch of the IRB World Rugby Yearbook 2007.

New Zealand fly half and previous winner Dan Carter, Australia full back Chris Latham, New Zealand captain Richie McCaw, Ireland second row Paul O'Connell and South Africa scrum half Fourie du Preez are all nominated for the top individual accolade at the IRB Awards in association with Emirates Airline, being held this year at the historic Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow, Scotland on November 26.

"The IRB Player of the Year award is the ultimate accolade for a player to receive and rewards the highest achiever in the Game over the past twelve months. The award takes into account the Test calendar from January to November 2006 and includes the RBS Six Nations Championship, Tri-Nations Series and the June Tests," said International Rugby Board Chairman, Dr Syd Millar.
IRB Awards

"The list of past winners of this prestigious award reads like a who's who in the Game with Shalk Burger, current nominee Dan Carter, Jonny Wilkinson, Fabien Galthie and Keith Wood all receiving the top prize," added Dr Millar.

The nominees were considered by the Awards' independent panel of judges, made up of former internationals with 503 caps between them - Francois Pienaar, Michael Jones, Fabien Galthie, Keith Wood, Gavin Hastings, Jonathan Davies, Dan Lyle and Federico Mendez and convener John Eales.

The Awards panel, who also vote on the IRB Coach and Team of the Year during the same period, will select the IRB Player of the Year after the completion of the November Test schedule.

"With the shortlist of five nominees now selected the panel will reconvene after the completion of the November Tests when the IRB Player of the Year 2006 will be selected. The announcement will be made at the glittering IRB Awards on November 26, which is the biggest and most prestigious annual celebration of the international Game," added Dr Millar.

The IRB Player of the Year is one of 12 categories of awards that include the IRB Coach of the Year, IRB Team of the Year, IRB Sevens Player of the Year, IRB Sevens Team of the Year and IRB Women's Personality of the Year. The event also recognises Age Grade Rugby and there is a special Spirit of Rugby award which honours outstanding contribution to the Game.

QUOTE(number8 @ Nov 20 2006, 01:15 PM)
Ismailian Old Boys ungguli ragbi 7 sebelah

AKHIR KEJOHANAN RAGBI BLACKHAWK CANTERBURY SEVENS 2006.
Keputusan Akhir
PIALA - Ismailian Old Boys 19 Bandaraya Dragon 0
PLATE - Asas RC 14 Terengganu Leatherback 12
BOWL -AF Swift 26 Labuan Seahawk 0
PEMAIN TERBAIK KEJOHNAN - Mohd Faizul Zainal Abidin (Ismailian Old Boys)
*
err...correction again...the best player of the tournament is MOHD SAIZUL HAFIZ BIN MOHAMMED NOOR and not mohd faizul zainal abidin...faizul didnt play during the final because of injury...where did i know?i was there at the grand stand waiting for the prize giving ceremony...saizul hafiz was a friend of mine... smile.gif

terengganu leatherback is the current SUKMA terengganu team...they are actually preparing themselves for the upcoming national 7's which will be held in kuantan this coming weekend and also national junior 7's the next weekend...asking me of which team ill be supporting?SELANGOR..!!!!
