don think so, that Action City Singapore actually same like XL-Shop Malaysia...

both are Distri from HT...

and i think that Action City Singapore are different from Action City Malaysia...

coz i didn't see Local Action City selling any HT...

but both pricing can be different so much huh... RM100 for me is a lot...

One's official in Singapore, one in Malaysia...cannot jump border/seludup toys... bulk from Singapore (middle man) would be a lucrative business.

Probably HT only allow one distributor per country.

Careful on ordering cheap. Deposit should be high for this monger. Nanti like the shop in subang suddenly runaway. Money lost figure tarak. Market goreng liow.

Buy from official singapore ht still cheaper than local official ht la... I got ppl @ spore to help... Wont pay extra rm100 to cover them... Hoho... My money ma...

Have the means ... by all means move the purchasing to the lower price one.

Yeah AC in Sg is different... and Sg now ONLY 1 AC retail Store selling HT

A lot of stuff is cheaper in Singapore due to their much stronger currency, strong buyer power of the people there and a lower import tax.

Iphone, Macs, LED TVs, cameras, PS3, (and being foreigners we can get GST exemption) basically I can't find anything that I could get cheaper in Malaysia with the exception of pirated stuff. We are king here in that department. Even ayam is cheaper and of much higher quality there.

Action City is also a major retailer and distributor in Singapore. A certain chain of shops here are only small fry compared to them.

Also, I think a few store might have underestimate the cost for this item. As of now, no one knows the size of the box. So shipping cost calculation is based on an estimation of what the box size might be.

There is a possibility some shops might have to raise the price later because the box is way bigger than estimated. This has happened to Batmobile, Godfther, etc...

I remember, car and fuel cheaper here too.

Fuel... yes... foreign cars.. both are expensive... but certainly Malaysia is Higher, higest tax rate in ASEAN if not Asia.

I beg to differ, same car, taking into account foreign exchange, Singapore is actually more expensive. Maybe not all cars but certainly a lot of cars more expensive there.

Items in Spore should be more expensive than Msia as the power of spending is higher than Msia...

And as customer, we just care the PRICE...

We don't care the shop need to bear how much the Shipment Fees...

And there will be possibility to increase price but not 100% to increase...

I bet my money to Cheaper one now instead of bet on the Expensive one...

Singapore has COE cost (30-50k SGD) ... tax is acutually 41%... while Malaysia's tax goes to 221.75% for above 3L...

While COE is viariable through bidding, Malaysia's high tax goes up exponentially fast especially for big cc cars.... In a way it's cheaper to own a big/expensive car in Singapore than an average car (VIOS/City) in Malaysia.


50k + 41% + 110% reg. ..... is still cheaper than 221.75%... this is regardless of money value as both are imports.
Crude Example:
A SGD 100k car in Sing would be: 300k SGD/735k MYR
A SGD 100k car in Malaysia would be: 322k SGD/789k MYR.

I bet to differ. Electronic items are cheaper in Malaysia compared to Singapore. I dont know where you've been shopping, but an ala carte iPhone costs definitely costs more than in Malaysia. I've never heard of people coming to Singapore to buy electronic items.

As for figures, I must say that from experience, generally hot toys are more expensive compared to Malaysia, with the exception of one shop in CSC that sells about RM50 lower than Malaysian PO prices. Historically, AC's prices have also been more or less on par with XL's prices.

But when you have a figure that's >RM150 more expensive in Malaysia, it really makes you start to wonder if someone's starting to make suckers out of the local Malaysian collectors and/or just plain greedy.

Anyway, people who buy hot toys are smart enough to look elsewhere for cheaper prices if they want to I suppose. If some companies want to play the premium game and not a volume game, well, let's see in the long run.
