Hi guys,

I got the same tappet sound every morning. The knocking sound is quite loud actually. It happened during coldstart but goes away after driving for a while.

I have been using Q8 semi-syn 10W-40 for ~20k km after the warranty over. Can i change back to use semi-syn 20W-50? Will it damage the engine?

If memory serves me right, Proton recommended 20W-50 for Campro and when using 20W-50, i don't hear such noise and it's quieter compared to now. Btw, mine is 2007 Campro.

mine oso got that sound when i use 10w40.... when change to 15w or 20w, no noise at all..

bro...u can always change back to previous oil anytime u want...no harm done to your engine...btw,why u changed the engine oil to 10w-40 if the 20w-50 serves u well??

50 ok tu...aku pakai 10/50 elok jer...kalo slalu long distance 50 bg aku ok...kalo slalu dlm town baik pakai 40...

byk nye dana sampai rm150

10W-40 gives me better FC and performance..
