as i said, its not the amount. its the principle of the matter. if i need to seek some specific info on the car, i have no access to a forum. where else, almost everything else on the internet is accessible over the net.
most of these paid forums even limit accessibility of the public to the threads. to me, the moment the forum limits public access, the forum becomes stingy in sharing the knowledge. and that ... sucks.
some people are like me. i dont agree to convoys, i dont have time for tt sessions,( i rather tt session with my best mates, on most days , put in almost 2 mandays, juggling 2-3 jobs,on some days, its working 36 hours straight. so. what ever day or weekend that i have, i rather spend it with my wife, my family and my best friends. )
i just want access to the forum to read what you shared. if anyone else faced the same issues i have.
to me ; paid forums are like the BN goverment; BN goverment thinks its ok for them to withheld the oil royalty payment to kelantan, just because the kelanantan people decided not to join the 'club' , they forgot that the oil royalty is the peoples right.
just like that, paid forums are limiting the public access to the knowledge within. mostly the knowledge comes from user experience, some are those who are actually subject matter experts .
but all this knowledge should be accessible to the public. if the person wants to post, then the person should be a member. ni nak access thread anonymously pun xleh. ( im not sure which forum it was, but it was gen2 specific and the number of open threads was very very limited.so that turned me away from all these gen2 forums. )
i know , i risk alienating myself now because the 'otai2' of this thread are all from the paid forums.

hazril just bgtau apa gunanye membership fees tu bkannya baya suka2 sbb nak collect duit org...payment utk tampung kos server...kita xde major sponsor utk tampung sume kos2 tu la bro so utk cover kos kita kena kan payment membership fees...member list pon x sampai baper ribu compare dgn loyat yg ada ratusan ribu members...
access limited pada certain thread tapi activities semua boleh join paid ke unpaid ke...klo nak ilmu free boleh dtg lepak2 tt dari situ semua free kecuali ofkos la ko kene baya makan minum sendiri...klo jenis kedekut sgt nak minum pon xmo pon bole tarahal dtg lepak2 pon ok...dari situ boleh share byk ilmu...ko share info over the net ni kadang2 byk scam contoh org tny pasal surbo pasal vs harga ratus2...dlm open forum mcm ni byk salesman yg amik kesempatan promote menyamar as user tapi sebenanye nak jual barang...compare dgn paid forum where technical discussion restricted to paid members yg bercakap based on experience...
