QUOTE(@meno @ Jun 7 2007, 01:09 AM) Rounded ide cables...Hmm, sometimes i hate them as they are harder to hide compared to normal IDE cables. Like my own rig, the DFI rounded cables really makes up a cacing nest in my rig especially when i still need both the IDE cables and also the floppy cable. thats ur biggest problem right there...the DFI rounded cables...they suck...they really just suck. not as flexible and when u bend them they look like shit...Btw, it is possible to sleeve up all the cables. Try using the smallest size sleeves, put all your cables LED (jumper) cables together, try to arrange them to have almost the same length and it will be much more tidier. OT: Hmmm, S3 in August. the best rounded cables ive ever experienced would be the black ones from CM (the one with the extra ground wire). flexible, and they still look good when u bend them. i used them in my HTPC and i can still tuck them away nicely, out of sight. |

i upgraded my A64 2800+ rig to the rig in my sig over the weekend which included a new PSU...and that means time for cable management again!
actually not much different than previous management. this time i lazy wanna sleeve so i hid all cables and tried my best to leave none showing. might sleeve then when im feeling a little more rajin one of these days... full view of the front.. ![]() where i routed the cables to go down...from the front the cables are hidden...(ignore the masking tape on the back of the mobo tray). the back of the mobo tray itself is clean of any cables. cant really route anything there. ![]() now..i remember reading some forumers complaining about the PSU cables blocking the top exhaust fan. heres what i did...notice the white thingy stuck to the alu under the heatshrinked part? its a cable tie base. without it confirm will block the air flow for me. these things were also very helpful for me when i was doing cable management for my old HEC case which only had 1 sidepanel that could be opened ![]() |

how many cdroms are u using? and u dont have space between the mobo tray and the rom cage to slip the cables through from what i see....this is tough EDIT: also, what PSU are u using? better yet, can list out all ur specs? This post has been edited by mADmAN: Jul 30 2007, 01:08 AM |

my first suggestion, since u only have 1 rom drive... move it to the top most of the case...so that ull have a nice big space to hide ur cables underneath it. but hide it oso have to be neat la....so make sure u cable tie ur cables to the rom cage like i did mine (only urs is on the inside of the cage, mine is on the outside). for ur ATX cable, ur gonna have to route it nicely in the cage before it comes out to the mobo. same thing goes for ur GC power cable. as for the rom drive...if u get a SATA burner...ur gonna have to find a sata cable long enough to reach the top of the cage. not sure if LYP got or not... but if u get IDE burner, i strongly suggest a rounded IDE cable. easier to manage than flat ribbon cables unless ur ribbon cable is long enough to do a nice fold all the way til the top. for ur rear fan...wrap the cable arount the fan as much as u can then only connect to the mobo. same goes for ur proc hsf...wrap it around the heatsink. |

cable management doesnt necessarily have to be all the cables hidden....its called cable management...not cable hiding.
just arrange ur cables so that it looks really neat. route them all together or something instead of letting them loose like that. and doom does make a very good point. btw, ur rear 80mm fan....wat fan is that?? allngap modded wan is it? |
