QUOTE(htpkevin @ Aug 24 2011, 01:40 PM) ic. then if wanna claim warranty then also problem@@. Coz i planning to change ODD to SSD. But then ODD there didn't have any vent. So if i change to SSD, would it possible it gets overheated? Coz its in an enclose space HDD put on ODD, SSD put on HDD..The ODD is most likely just SATA 2. |

QUOTE(htpkevin @ Aug 24 2011, 01:44 PM) well ya coz not really sure our model truly supports sata 3 or not. Its stated there sustained writes speed is 75mb/s. So its like if u copy large size file the max speed it can go is like 75mb/s? And if i use this along with my 5400rpm hdd will the hdd slow down the performance of this ssd? Yup, max copy from other ssd/hdd to your ssd would be 75MB/s.sorry i really noob in this >.< Slow down would only happen when you are accessing files on the HDD.. 4K random speed is more important since that's what we used daily.. QUOTE(htpkevin @ Aug 24 2011, 01:44 PM) It is. |

@htpkevin, can do another test?
1. Download RivaTuner 2.24c 2. Next, go to RivaTuner\Overclocking\Global, expand it and for "MaxClockLimit" set it to 300 and "DisableClockTest" to 1. Next under Rivatuner\NVIDIA\Overclocking set "EnablePerfLevelForcing" to 1. 3. Finally, go to the Main tab, under the driver settings, click the half arrow next to "customize", click on "system settings", go to the overclocking tab, enable driver level overclocking, set it to performance 3D and set your default GPU clocks. Towards the bottom, you will see, "force constant performance level", set that to performance 3D as well and click apply. and try do this test first, reduce screen brightness to lowest or if possible turn off the screen, unplug all usb devices, then do the furmark + afterburner, see the graph more stable or not.. QUOTE(Ikmal91 @ Aug 26 2011, 01:46 AM) This post has all the sayings of a true professional. hmm, didn't recall metal plate, but got post link on removing some mesh, air filter to reduce temp..Ahh...iirc....PF TJ told me that you modded a laptop to remove some metal plate to reduce the heat.... or was that someone else...? QUOTE(Trance4eva @ Aug 26 2011, 01:44 AM) apparently i does not work quite well Imagine if the plate is not there, a big hole with nothing supporting the keyboard, direct contact with the mobo still i heard some ppl actually put sponge under the keyboard of the N53 and it works like a charm QUOTE(Ikmal91 @ Aug 26 2011, 01:46 AM) I put thick double tape This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Aug 26 2011, 02:00 AM |

Open the bottom plate and take out the filter attached to the plate... |
