When you mention central A/C, do you mean split unit A/C? Windows unit would refer to those that you literally install thru an rectangular opening in the window? Cost for window units will very much cheaper than those split units. However, the split units will be more economical in elect consumption. As for looks, of course the split unit looks much better.

Sorry, maybe I was not clear but when I mean centralized A/C, it is not split units or windows A/C. I mean when everything is mostly hidden in the walls like in most offices and hotels. As you can see here http://www.atayala.com/philippine_lifestyle.php?id=4201Do you know if it is allowed to be install in a condo ? Thanks

For centralized A/C, you will need to run ducting to the various outlets. This will require space below the slab & beams. You will also need space to place the AHU/ chiller unit. Unless your condo unit have been designed for this, it would be quite impossible. What's you reason of wanting to have centralized A/C?

Actually this condo is new and not yet renovated or even not completed so I have a lot of flexibility to make the appropriate design right now and running ducting is not a problem at all.
Main reason is for design as those split units are ugly and central A/C is hidden, more silent and more efficient.
I just wonder if it is common in Malaysia and who are the specialistts and what is the cost difference ?
Thanks

You need to get the building Engineer to open up for ducting. If you have a high ceiling like 12' then is possible.

Yup. That's what he was referring to. You could also check out other suppliers for comparison.

Wow... that is one giant air-con compressor. If only need aircon switched on inside one room (e.g. Master room during the night), does the aircon compressor have to run all the time too? The outdoor compressor ranges from 11kw to 15kw, that is gonna consume quite a lot of electricity.

11KVA, you need a 3 phase to run that compressor.
