haha! I spoiled him with mealies last September . 
but now I already cut his mealies supply and changed his kibbles to Go Natural. Couldn't find RC32 400gm. Only 2kg that available in petshop nearby

Oh ya about Go Natural, I read in previous post (dunno in which version), Go Natural has the same nutrition with royal canin 32. (Crude Protein 32%) the most important thing is, it doesn't cointain any by-product & artificial flavour.

I found that the kibbles are tinier than royal canin 32, which make it easier to bite.I never said Go Natural is better than RC32, it just that I don't have choices since the petshop sells Royal Canin in 2kgs. Somemore my Papoy is a picky eater. Before, I forgot to buy RC32 due to busy working, so I just rushed into Giant & bought a small dog kibbles (which contain crude protein 23% & it's the only kibble in chicken flavour). At the 1st feeding, I saw him nibbled the kibble, so I thought that he's okay with that dog food. Suddenly, I heard him flipping his plate & ran into his dome  . He 'declared' a hunger strike with me that day & the next morning I went to the petshop. After few comparisons with other catfood, I decided to buy Go Natural, since it has similar ingredient & nutritions with Royal Canin. Luckily he likes it & not a single kibble left on the plate. And he poop as usual (dark brown poop). (Note: I feed him once a day)

So for now I stick with Go Natural. In case the Royal Canin 32 is available in 400gm in the future, I might switch back to it. Having more than 1 type of kibble can give us the best options, in case one of the food has been discontinued, you have another food for back up.

I have a huge problem with my boy here. He seems to be sleeping 24/7. I barely see him move and he don't eat much. Then he twitched even when a tissue touched him and he is not as active anymore. He looks so bad that I'm afraid he might die soon

I own a female snowflake, she's almost 5months yet she's so 'kurus'!   normally adult hedgehog weighed around 500g right? she's barely 300g+++. And normal hog will have this pear shape, mine is slim and sleek like panjang. I fed her mealworms and RC36, but she's fond to eat worms instead of RC. She's very active at night im glad she's active but im worried about her health.

One more thing, my friend own a s&p male hog, he's almost 7months. I tried to pair them up together just for fun but she bit his neck and he was screaming like a baby!  yeah. he did sound like a baby+cat's-in-pain-meowing    whether they are not compatible or they're not ready, this im not sure. Help?

I thought it's 6 months and above?
I've read that their pelvic bones fuse together after 1 year old, so it would be dangerous to breed them because the mother and babies could die during delivery.

ditto. while any life is equally precious (to an extent), simply giving or getting a hedgehog isn't exactly like getting for example; a goldfish for yourself or as a present to someone else.

be sure to do the research needed as a hog needs lots of care and has quirks specific to their kind that you should equip yourself or whoever you're giving it as a present with.

case in point - the past few pages of this thread clearly shows lack of research before bringing home a new hog v.v

havent get it yet...still doing research....went to few bookstores looking for hedgehog book but couldnt find any...but their poop is making me to think twice wheather to get it or not....coz i will be keeping in my room & i dont want it to smell like poop every morning

Been thinking bout getting this one. But still in dilemma between this or sg. Both are so cuuutee!

Oh like that. Guess im getting a hedgie soon instead of sg. Cost for starting also cheaper rite? No need to buy sangkar, just that toyogo box. But is it ok if i biar it at home for 5 days like that cause im just free at the weekend.  Left at home meaning let my brother or mom take care of it. Or is it will be hard to bond?
