ddr3, both boys la they are on anti-parasite, antibiotic, and multivits, Fossil is doing well, but Roll is not that good. Poor guy vomit all the way to the vet, so monyok afterward. Dunno how to bring him next time.

how do i train my hedgie to poop in his litter tray. man, my hedgie poops everywhere. one time, i even saw poop on the pipe of the water bottle. and he piss everywhere too. stink up his whole cage. his cage is a plastic container with plastic cover which i drilled holes on it. one day i wash the container, the next morning i open up his cage to look at him.

HOLY SHIT! The piss smell of ammonia enters my brain. It's like alcohol enters your brain n u get high except in this case, the smell enters your brain n your brain melts and u pengsan.

Before this they were fine when travel in car. So active summore go here and there in the car. Now roll is botak a lot TT.TT almost 200 quills lost yesterday.

How do u do quarantine? I don't let them mix, but I handle them both still, and thy r put on the same area but not at the same time.

he usually shit n piss at night after everyone is asleep. he used to piss n shit when i take him out to play at 7pm but not anymore. his cage is clean when i go to sleep at night but when i check up on him the next morning, there's shit n piss everywhere. Is there a way to make him shit n piss in a litter tray i got him?

Btw, can i use large toilet sheets as beddings? I saw on youtube some guy used large toilet rolls as beddings. i think will be easier to be cleaned. Just throw the dirty paper out n replace them with new ones every morning. i dun wanna use fleece blankets because the piss will soak into the fleece blankets n smells. i dun wanna wash the blankets either cuz i'm quite lazy. HAHA. I got another 5 turtles to take care and im the only one in the house to take care of all the pets.

Ddr3, 200 quills la, not typing mistake Dx He's quite botak now TT.TT Now I'm suspecting my  mealworms are contaminated as I think he starts having issues after I bribe him with lots of mealies after he merajuk. Few days after no mealies he didn't scratch as much. Now after eating mealworms Fossil also getting itchy so I'm stopping mealworms for now. Gonna have to change his diet as well and wait for 2/3 weeks and see if he improves.

I don't think it's mite, though.

1st- He's staying in plastic container.
2nd- We are using fleece before, but change to fleece + wood bedding (only in litter tray) as the doc said his pee will worsen his foot (melecet bcuz of wheel, bengkak n turn to dark brown crust, padahal I only let him play once or twice).
3rd- Afraid paper can't absorb pee well, now his foot seems better.
4th- Nope, crusty skin, red crust surrounding quills, no white thing crawling..
5th- Called the vet, he said to finish the meds, change his diet immediately, n see in two weeks got improvement or not.

i think that is what people called Apricot or pale apricot.. very light brown and dark red eyes..

was thinking of getting one Hedgehog but I cant get along with insects or worms.
is it a necessary for a hedgehog to eat worms/insect?

1) male are usually smaller since they will maintain their weight around 200g-300g. i think it is due to they need to be more thin to able to "ehem ehem". too much tummy will make them "unreachable' HAHAHAH so you will found male eating about half the amount of the female and very small size and thin. female didnt have any of this trouble and just keep eating.. i have 4 male and all very thin and 4 female which are all over 400g...

1 years old are not too old for  ahem ahem since i got 1 almost 2 years old albino is father for 6 hedgies.. hahah in 2 batch of course.. but currently his appetite for ahem ahem are getting lower and lower already.. hahah even put a fresh young female to him also make dont know already...

If most male hedgies like to maintain their weight below a certain level, I'm pretty sure my (not-so) little hedgie, Pinto isn't 'most' hedgies.

HUFFSTER'S OTHER EYE POPPED OUT.

I don't know why. I did notice after I got him back from the vet that his other eye was protruding more but it looked good.

This morning, his right eye was outside his head.

I just don't have the money to fix him anymore. I'm owing people so much money. ARGHHHH. :'(

I'm bringing him to the Kinrara Vet Centre at 5pm when it reopens again today. If it costs more than what I have, I'll just bring him home and hope that he'll be okay until I have more money to fix his eye.

OMG Teli I'm SO sorry to hear that! Keep us updated about his condition ya. You're a good owner, I don't know what I'll do if I'm at your place Ugh.

No idea, I didnt even touch him since I brought him back from the vet after removal of stitches. This morning, when I wemt to feed my hedgies, I noticed that his good eye was outside the socket. Went to Dr. Dev's clinic in Bandar Kinrara this time. He quoted around RM300 for surgery (half of that in Animal Medical Centre where I got his other eye removed). I told him I cant afford it for now so Huffster's on painkiller & antibiotic medicine now.

Ah well, my mum's already telling me to euthanise him (i told her loss of sight isnt going to affect his quality of life).

I suspect this eye-popping thing is genetic. His eyes have always protruded more compared to Chubster's. Looked at Pinto's eyes just now, since his father is Huffster, his eyes protrude more like Huffster's as well. *sigh*

Checking, I sent a PM to him earlier.
It's up to the genes how much the eyes protrude from the sockets, I guess.
