Out of the hall of shame list I've only fought BigSuperA.
After he quitted, I kept challenging him over and over until I think he gave up and just gave me my win Though to be fair...no one else that I could connect to decently was online. EDIT: I sometimes quit after I see the connection bars too. I'v efound that GFWL "lies" sometimes with its connection bars so I always check. Sometimes I kick the person if I create the room too. If they join again I'll send them a message like "Too laggy, maybe tomorrow" or something This post has been edited by Darkstalker: Sep 7 2011, 03:11 PM |

QUOTE(mrjp @ Sep 7 2011, 03:12 PM) Haha, sounds like he kena rape .. I don't think I've played my Seth against his Vega, but typically he beats me. I would really like to see your Seth vs Dinofish88's vega. You 2 ever fought before ? Anyone have youtube ? If we play on Ranked I can record the replay and upload it. Are Endless matches recorded via replay? As far as I know it's not, otherwise I could record that too. I could record while playing, but that can take up too much of my comp's resources and might make the match lag. |

Btw, I'd just like to say that barring events, I think small rooms of 2-4 people are best. Good mix of players + fast turnaround rate even if you have a bad day and lose a lot (since your turn will come faster)
Just my opinion |

QUOTE(Lurker @ Sep 8 2011, 03:33 PM) OS = Option SelectOption Selects are you doing moves that the game will automatically select the best choice for you For instance, many characters can do Option Select jumping HK to Dragon Punch after they knock the opponent down by pressing HK in the air and then doing the Dragon Punch fast (before you hit the opponent normally). What happens can be anything of the following: 1) If the jumping HK hits or is blocked, nothing happens (you can follow up with other attacks) 2) If the jumping HK misses because the opponent backdashed, the Dragon Punch will come out to catch them 3) If the jumping HK misses because the opponent did their own invincible attack, the Dragon Punch will come out and try to beat their attack 4) If the jumping HK misses because the opponent does Ultra or Super, nothing happens All these 4 situations will be covered by doing that Option Select. There are many option selects in the game. Another common one is Option Select crouching MP/MK/HP/HK and throw when blocking. What you do is hold down back, and press LP + LK + MP/MK/HP/HK. What happens is this: 1) If the opponent combos, nothing happens and you keep blocking 2) If the opponent breaks combo to throw, you will tech the throw (because you pressed LP + LK) 3) If the opponent pauses to try and bait you, you will throw out your MP/MK/HP/HK move 4) If the opponent does Ultra, nothing happens (you will continue blocking if you hold downback) 5) If the opponent does an invincible to attacks command throw, you will get thrown So this Option Select covers 4 out of 5 situations (might be more). Option Selects can be useful for many situations where you have to guess what to do. I hope that explanation was good for you, it's tricky a bit to explain. |

QUOTE(fremont88 @ Sep 8 2011, 04:38 PM) very detailed.... Yes, that's a much simpler OS. There's many in this game, especially the character specific ones.usually i OS with lp+lk only...if the opponent try to bait, the lk will come out...and it it hits, can continue with further clk for some combos....but usually i fail la.... A lot of them are character specific. But sometimes lag messes up my OS and I get really mad at the internet. "THAT WAS THE ULTRA NOT A TELEPORT RIGHT INTO ZANGIEF'S GRAB RANGE DAMMIT" Ahem. |

Another OS I use when I play Seth is OS SPD and throw with 360 + LP + LK
What happens is if I time my grab right, I grab the person. If the opponent manages to grab me first I tech their throw. |

I want to set it up on my family computer with an offline account for my siblings (and when I'm there, they can use my GFWL). Will I have problems doing this? I heard something about characters not available in offline mode but I'm not sure if they implemented that..

QUOTE(kianweic @ Sep 9 2011, 04:20 PM) You can create another GFWL account specifically for them. That's ok. They will not be using it online without my presence or consent anyway. However, I doubt that two GFWL accounts using the same cd-key can be online at the same time. I'll set up an offline account for them then. |

^ The command is called input display. You can switch it on in training mode and replay mode.

Anyone know if there's any way to change my email in my GFWL account?
Or failing that, then unassociating my CDKey with my current account and making a new account with a different email? |

QUOTE(Dinofish @ Sep 13 2011, 01:45 PM) is cr.MP property changed in AE? I feel like it's the same.... It's exactly the same but active frames shorter. So in combos it ends up being exactly the same, but I use it as a poke/meaty sometimes, and it's not as good for those anymore I just miss that cr.MK =( and solar plexus strike damage.. |
