Does the Sanwa button really feel that different? I'm on HRAP3, as far as I'm concerned it's all good. I just want to understand what makes the Sanwa button feel better.

LoL, ok bro, here's my dilemma.

I bought 10 buttons with stick. I plan to mod my saulabi, but the fricking thing doesn't take in sanwa (yes, I should've checked earlier, but yeah what's done is done).

So I called up Keane this morning (yea same Keane, funny no? LoL), he quoted me the price, I thought hmm.. I'll look some more..
I went up to my usual site, youbeli, and found this mayflash stick (paewang), I was thinking heck I'm gonna mod it anyway, might as well.. so I made the payment and waited like a good boy that I am.. ( /puke )

.. 1 hour ago, the guys called me up and BAM, I'm in this shit. No mayflash... and they're gonna find me a hori stick..
Should've just settled with Keane earlier this morning... but I guess sometimes stuffs just happens. AHhh well. smile.gif Will update if I manage to get it AND mod it.

Thanks for the help rendered so far.

Oh btw, a review for Saulabi 4k stick. It's good to some extent, but leaf based joystick and crappy buttons, good for a few months, beginner class perhaps, but hey, it's cheap!

Just wondering, how easy/difficult is it to mod from a four gate to a eight(?) gate stick?

And that Hakan vid is sick!
*
Easy, a few set of screwdriver or alan head key ( for madcatz ) would do the trick.
Remember the order of the placement, exchange, place everything back in the reverse order. Done.
Make sure you buy the right gate tho, different arcade stick might need extra "plate holder" to screw the gate on.

Actually i've heard that someone had done it before and it didn't really makes much of a difference.
After changing it, he had problems "feeling" for the corners. LOLZ.
Don't buy it to main grapplers ( not saying that you are ).
You just need to twist the stick in a smaller circle, no need to twist till it touches the gate smile.gif

More responsive than Hori buttons.

Quite light, easy to press.

The feel is quite similar to the cherry mx-red buttons on mechanical keyboards.

the hrap3 I bought was claimed to have full sanwa parts by the seller but since I've never owned a stick before, I'm oblivious to the difference. what i do notice is that the button is crazy responsive. even on a very light press (not all the way down), it will register. is this what sanwa is like? however, it's damn loud though. ~tap tap tap tap tap

LoL, I've been an frequent arcade since my teens (I'm in my 30s now), it's arcade stick or bust with these type of games.

@ on the sanwa buttons
Its definitely better than most other buttons you'll use. Most of the better arcades use these. It's more responsive, easier to maintain.

@Fremont
They found a Hori stick for me that will come in on Monday. Gonna cost me back 400. Cheaper than what was quoted, weird thing is it's for PS3, but they said it comes with a USB which is compatible with PC ???
Weird...

You want to die ar !!!!!
How could u leave your arcade stick all alone in Melaka for more than 1 week ?!?!!?
Grrrr .......

@Lucifer,

RM400 actually it's quite expensive o.
Better get qanba4 lar.

Btw, it's either xbox360/pc or ps3/pc. Both will also work with pc.
Just that you need to consider what console you want to buy in the future.
( If you plan to buy both, buy xbox360/pc, cheaper to dual mod )
IMHO, there is no new or old stock UNLESS it's hrap5 SA.
Hrap3 have stop it's production. It's either old stock from somewhere or ..... i better don't say if not u sim tia ( sakit hati ) ^^!!!

KAO SAI! Should've asked you earlier. They have those in stock, I thought only the xbox 360 works with it... LoL. But never mind, new stock comes in Monday, hopefully get it by end of next week.

What old.. LoL, we've sensitive fingers that's why! Need softer and more delicate stuffs...

@sweet
For hori stick 400, is... sorta cheap.. Qanba you'll need to mod it again, adding together with the cost, it'll come up more. Long term vs short term I guess.. smile.gif
