Hey i noticed after the Yun changes, no one uses Yun anymore.

Yun's still the same until next year though

And I personally still find a lot of Yun players

Recently I've been playing Vega as my main. I've also made it a point to get to 2000+ PP rank (not much I know, but its the most I ever got).

What I've been doing is avoiding games with people I know who would beat me, and I try to beat people I've never played with before. Maybe its because they're not used to these cheap Vega tricks.

Eventually I got to 2000+ PP .

Its actually quite easy to "trick" yourself into thinking you're a better player.

1) Start a ranked match, win one game and not start another one (in case the guy learns from you and challenges you again)
2) Avoid ranked matches with people you know would beat you
3) Harass people you know you can beat

However, I felt like I was having less fun playing the game. I used to play random characters, just messing around not caring about BP and PP. Heck, I used to not care and lose 800+ PP in a few sessions because I was fooling around as El Fuerte, Dan or something else.

Anyone else ever felt this way? Do BP and PP matter to you?

BP is just how much you've lame'd with that character specifically.
As for PP is directly correlate with your win loss ratio on any characters, like if you play with a character that you're good at all the time, you'll end up with higher PP. But then again, when it comes the day where you wanna learn a new character, that PP would take a dump for sure..
At first I thought wow... PP that's important.. but it sorta end up kicking me on the balls when I wanna pick up another character. I end up with higher ranked player even tho I've near 0 experience on the character I chose. Double edge sword if you ask me.

Then again, I thought BP/PP should tie to specific characters. Instead of character//personal basis.

in a way i feel the same.
well, if i know i cannot beat that player, i will choose a low BP character.
if i think i stand a chance, i will try to grind BP for my "main" characters. currently t-hawk and blanka haz 4.1k BP

bison (dictator) and zangief haz 1k BP
the rest under 1k BP

well, if the player is good, better than me, i cannot beat him, but he still challenges me when i play arcade mode auto fight request, i will train low BP characters with him, well, provided that it seems like i still have a fighting chance, not those players who combo me until cannot do anything at all.

sometimes i will keep on challenging players who beats me all the time, using low BP characters.
well, same rule, if i think i still have a fighting chance.

well i think some players, really pro lar.
they make it look like you have a chance to win.

i.e. will let u win one round one.

then on the 2 rounds that they win, their health bar will also remain a bit also, their acting skills very geng leh.

i "test the water" with a low BP character to check their skill.

I beat someone 3 times in a row I feel bad <____< Yesterday we started at 500PP each at the end of 3 matches I got 777 he went down to 300. I was like, okay... I'm just gonna play the trials now

Oh man, I know what you mean by those people that let you win one round. Then they nearly perfect you the next 2 rounds!

You might be right about not caring about PP. I think I can have more fun that way!

Were you joining his room or the other way? For me, I don't mind if one person keep challenging me even though he lose. But if the other way, yeah .. feel bad too

oooo PP definitely harder to grind.
my bestest was 1.2k PP haha.

ah well, got such players also.
i.e. let me win one round, the other 2 rounds near perfect me.


also got really good players.
i.e. let me win one round, but it seems like he almost gonna win me also, i.e. i got less health remain.
then for the other 2 rounds, it seems like i got chance to win also, bcos his health very low also when he won those 2 other rounds.
