Hello all,
My Experience of getting a job in sg..
Waiting 2 months 14days for my IPA.
After that Goes for xray and waited 1 week for results due to holidays.
Made payment  for card collection.. system technical error.
Waited 2weeks + for them to send me the EPSC letter manually.
Now,
Passport fully stamp. Can't change if not it will conflict with the EPSC letter. 1 day STVP entry left...
From what I heard from MOM, I do not need to stamp my passport anymore due to the EPSC letter which I will present to the ICA officer when I enter and exit sg. I wonder is it true. Anyone has experience on this matter?

I must be really unlucky when I apply for my pass >.<..
*
Bro, why do you need to make payment for card collection? I don't recall any charges apart from the medical check up which can be absorbed by the employer if you request a medical chit from them.

As for the stamping, i don't quite get your situation...

In my case, i opened a bank account using my passport and EP and it doesn't require any residential proof. As for broadband, i don't remember they asking for proof as well. What the telco told me is that, they will post me a letter and i have to send it back to them just to prove that i've received the letter and i'm staying there (which i didn't post back anyway.. so far still ok). For other services, you can always use your bank statements as proof.

EP doesn't state your residential address, not sure about the old ones though.

Yes. EP does not state the residential address.

I think it's a lot lower as compared to Raffles.  Wonder how they can give such competitive rate.
*
Compare to JB (City Square), it still higher by roughly 0.02. For those, that din manage to exchange earlier might have exchange it at kranji exchanger.

15% of my salary is going to be withheld by the company
for 6months because of the tax thing. By right I should be able to get
some portion of it if i do work more than 6months right?
*
Sir, when u start working in Singapore?

Since you mentioned you already work for more than 6 months, you supposed to be tax on resident rate (stay or work for >183 days, tax as resident rate). Maybe you can talk with your ex-employer?

Anyone have any info for room vacancy around/close to Tanjung Pagar? Or any recommendation for easier access to the location?

I'm looking at Tiong Bahru area but all excess of $600 for a single room. Want to move out soon. Jurong not for ppl live one.
*
Can share why Jurong isn't for ppl to stay? I just plan to move to Boon Lay, nearer to office.

Btw, you can browse for room thru easyroommate.
