is it that once you become a PR, the existing singapore driving license that you have converted earlier from malaysian license no longer valid and you have to start all over again to take the whole driving exam?

QUOTE(seantang @ Sep 20 2011, 03:11 PM) I put most of my rainy day cash in CIMB. The Starsaver account pays 0.8% on the entire balance, no service fees, no drop below fees... only one condition, you need to deposit $500 each month or the interest rate drops to 0.5% (still higher than anything the big3 can offer). It's got free cheques and the lowest fees (to my knowledge) if you deposit forex cheques as well. nice info.thanks. but one thing, how do u deposit 500 each month without incurring extra GIRO/IBG charges and without any hassle (go to orchard /raffles place CIMB bank to deposit every month)? |

QUOTE(xyyz @ Sep 26 2011, 04:03 PM) hello all tai kor, yes go in as a tourist. you should get ur EP in less than 1month, so dun worry about overstaying.I think this question probably being raised before by others so pls don mind me asking again as it is really troublesome going back to check all the reply. The question goes.... "If my EP is already approved and my employer is having my in-principle approval letter and only after my medical check-up only Mom will issue my EP, so now while i'm entering singapore. should i be going as tourist or how?? what should i fill in, in the white card?" Thank you thank you |

QUOTE(ky_khor @ Oct 4 2011, 02:50 PM) Today is my 11th day in Singapore. 2.5% increase in amount moving from M'sia to S'pore. it will be SGD 1.66 in 4 days time. The best thing so far, is the 10mins commute time + SGD1.62(two way) cost of transit per day. edit: IT field: network security QUOTE(seantang @ Oct 4 2011, 03:11 PM) 0.02 * 2 trips * 7 days * 52 weeks = $14.56 per year. If you add a +/-30% variability factor, it's within a range of $10-20 per person per year. Quite a lot? yes for me ONLY. a penny saved is a penny earned. I can used the amount to buy share or put in FD and let it rollluckily the LTA only allow increase 1% , since the operator want to increase 2.8% anyway still much cheaper than Malaysia.
