You don't have to "run" to enjoy driving a powerful car.

Going 0->110->0kmh in an Altis and in an Evo is a very different experience. It's not about top speed. It's about the way you get to the speed you want and back. The feel, responsiveness, acceleration, braking, grip, the sound etc... it's just different. I used to go on biz trips for a week or two, and the moment I reach home from the airport, I'd put down my bags, jump into the car and go for a drive.

My guess is that you've never felt that before. Then you will never understand.

I hate driving in singapore, unless its the highway, you cant go more then a 100ft without encountering a traffice light. Much prefer driving on route 66 in arizona, just a long unending road with nobody and no traffic lights to bother me.

Singaporean buy sports car to show-off only. You think they really intend to race the car ar? They take good care of the car, racing it would subject it to further wear and tear not to mention risk of accident.

I got a friend who is a 'banana' (Chinese who does not know Mandarin or any chinese language at all) and he worked in DBS corporate finance. After 6-month he gave up and returned KL because he cannot 'tahan' DBS was too 'chinese-oriented' as his whole teammates except him (got a lot of teams in a corporate finance department) were from China and they spoke Mandarin in office. He felt being isolated so he left, he swore will never return to work with DBS  

then think carefully, cause other than the currency, Sg dun have much to offer

It's better off for him to remain in KL as he can't cut it in a more dynamic environment. 

Which is why Malaysia remains a 3rd world backwater as it's filled with people like them.

Actually, to be fair to them, I wouldn't use that degratory remarks on them. I spoke to a few of them (single, gorgeous looking singaporean women) and while yes, they do try very hard to "hook" rich guys but in their perspective, its only fair. I mean every girl irregardless of nationality would want a husband/bf who have the means to give them a good life, right?

Put yrself in their shoes. i mean if yr a stunningly gorgeous girl, why in the world would you settle for some mediorcre guy when you can get a prince. Love and all that only last for so long. After you are married for 10-15 years, all the "love" will start to fade and reality will set in i.e. is there enough money for kids, tuition, electricity, food, rent, etc. If you married a rich guy at least you don't worry about all these mundane things. And SG is not a cheap country to live in. SO in a way i don't blame them. I can only strive to make myself and my family a better living.

LOL!!! Unfortunaltely these days its all about speculation even to find a mate. When one sees a girl (pretty or not dosen't matter) get a prince, she will also higher her expectation. Kinda like property. When property A is so sellable at say $200 per sq ft, property B which just launch will price itself at $220 and look see if demand is good or not. If it's still good then property C will price at $250 per sqft. and so on and so forth.

@Dark If you're earning decent bucks you could even consider taxi. Bedok to CBP is about $7 one-way, so if you took taxi to-and-fro every day you're looking at under $350 a month.
