You don't have to "run" to enjoy driving a powerful car.

Going 0->110->0kmh in an Altis and in an Evo is a very different experience. It's not about top speed. It's about the way you get to the speed you want and back. The feel, responsiveness, acceleration, braking, grip, the sound etc... it's just different. I used to go on biz trips for a week or two, and the moment I reach home from the airport, I'd put down my bags, jump into the car and go for a drive.

My guess is that you've never felt that before. Then you will never understand.
*
Wow....thinking also make me steam....it is like when i drive back kampung, hate to see those cars in front of me and difficult to over take them, n when reach to a trafficlight, i will cut out to the outer lane and then speed up immediately on green light and all left behind..... tongue.gif

Correct...correct...that why lots of ferrari, porsche and lamboghini either turned turtle or engine burnt while on the road in Singapore. tongue.gif The moment they speed up, the next need to jam brake already..... biggrin.gif

I hate driving in singapore, unless its the highway, you cant go more then a 100ft without encountering a traffice light. Much prefer driving on route 66 in arizona, just a long unending road with nobody and no traffic lights to bother me.
*
I used to speed on I35. tongue.gif

Singaporean buy sports car to show-off only. You think they really intend to race the car ar? They take good care of the car, racing it would subject it to further wear and tear not to mention risk of accident.

They buy sports car mainly to race....in the bedroom..with some chics they picked up in a club....by showing off their sports car.....

Errr....i thought they got money but no where to spend.... tongue.gif

I got a friend who is a 'banana' (Chinese who does not know Mandarin or any chinese language at all) and he worked in DBS corporate finance. After 6-month he gave up and returned KL because he cannot 'tahan' DBS was too 'chinese-oriented' as his whole teammates except him (got a lot of teams in a corporate finance department) were from China and they spoke Mandarin in office. He felt being isolated so he left, he swore will never return to work with DBS tongue.gif  sweat.gif
*
Whose fault at this??? While never learn up Chinese and not only DBS, China Banks and all those chinese companies and chinamen companies also he cannot work, if he cannot mix in with them.

You know how hard the Hongkies start to learn mandarin back in the 80-90s when China received back Hong Kong and the Hongkies start to venture into China and now many of them have become so successful. You can hear all sort of broken mandarin when those Hongkies speak mandarin with the chinese. Also, you see those Chinese when come to Hong Kong, how they start to learn Cantonese.

Same as many brothers that i know when they went to Thailand to work and they can pick up and now able to speak a fluent Thai language. Never let language be a barrier to your carrier and somemore if you are a chinese yourself. icon_idea.gif

Old dogs not learning new tricks are excuses.

It's better off for him to remain in KL as he can't cut it in a more dynamic environment.

Which is why Malaysia remains a 3rd world backwater as it's filled with people like them.

He also have problem communicate with those indian and malays and even chinese who dont speak English. Probably he can speak Bahasa lar with them. tongue.gif

Actually, to be fair to them, I wouldn't use that degratory remarks on them. I spoke to a few of them (single, gorgeous looking singaporean women) and while yes, they do try very hard to "hook" rich guys but in their perspective, its only fair. I mean every girl irregardless of nationality would want a husband/bf who have the means to give them a good life, right?

Put yrself in their shoes. i mean if yr a stunningly gorgeous girl, why in the world would you settle for some mediorcre guy when you can get a prince. Love and all that only last for so long. After you are married for 10-15 years, all the "love" will start to fade and reality will set in i.e. is there enough money for kids, tuition, electricity, food, rent, etc. If you married a rich guy at least you don't worry about all these mundane things. And SG is not a cheap country to live in. SO in a way i don't blame them. I can only strive to make myself and my family a better living.
*
IT is nothing wrong for wanting someone who is better, rich, handsome and single. It is not degratory statement as they are mostly materialistics women out there if compare to plain kampung gals. So, in Singapore, it is more such women out there (percentage wise). biggrin.gif

LOL!!! Unfortunaltely these days its all about speculation even to find a mate. When one sees a girl (pretty or not dosen't matter) get a prince, she will also higher her expectation. Kinda like property. When property A is so sellable at say $200 per sq ft, property B which just launch will price itself at $220 and look see if demand is good or not. If it's still good then property C will price at $250 per sqft. and so on and so forth.

Same theory rclxms.gif
*
With this theory kicks in, that is why the mariage rate drops so much. Many rather remain single than to sell cheap. tongue.gif However, they argue that they want freedom and no commitment. shakehead.gif

This is not a comparison. This is a message. A message for all Malaysian living near and far, to vote this comming GE. Excercise your right as a Citizen. Shed the "its not my problem now that i'm living in XXX" mentality. Come out and vote for a better Malaysia.

Oops, i have never voted before in my entire life. It is very costly for me to vote as need to travel back to home town which i cant claim any reimbursement so never border to vote. Unless i can do a postal vote. tongue.gif

If we want to keep MY passport, do our part else just convert and SG is ready to give you all sort of bonus.

Do you mean that if we want to keep our Malaysia passport, we must do our part by going back to support our govt and vote for our Najib Gor? biggrin.gif

For one year lease is 6.25k (1mth rental 1mth deposit 1/2mth agent fee)
For two year lease is 10k (1mth rental 2mth deposit 1mth agent fee)

Deposit only for PUB lor, $200. I don't remember my starhub internet/cable got need any deposit.

@Dark If you're earning decent bucks you could even consider taxi. Bedok to CBP is about $7 one-way, so if you took taxi to-and-fro every day you're looking at under $350 a month.
*
My friend staying at Jurong, travelling to CBD area taking taxi to and fro almost everyday. He still say it is cheap comparing to driving a car. He sold his car and happily taking taxi everyday, like having a driver fetching him here and there everyday. Hard truth is having a car cost much more than taking taxi. Bus is cheaper but longer travelling time.

No worries...his monthly taxi fares cost less than 800 per month. Keeping his car, his CBD area office car park + HDB car park + normal car parking fees + ERP + monthly installment + Insurance + Road Tax + Fuel + Maintenance is much more than his taxi fares. biggrin.gif
