QUOTE(elfreakz @ Oct 12 2011, 06:21 AM) My WW that lost fur the other week started to grow fur back. So i believe its not mites eh.. And the male have no fur problem in same cage. Maybe its old age.I realise my WW is more active at playing and messing around with cage n bedding than my robo. My ww food bowl always full with bedding bcos they play digging, but my robo bowl so clean with food properly. I thought robo more hyper. Is it true or depent on situation? Dont worry , my ww love to dig too and their food bowl is always in bedding. |

QUOTE(Nekochan @ Oct 13 2011, 12:26 AM) Aw, thats nice. I guess even hamster know who treat them well. They will do the same. Well , maybe the glass is cool thats why they do that.I put my robo in their new aquarium but then they started to lie down on their stomach and stretch on the aquarium floor. Is it normal? My ww hamster does that on the wheel. Will lay flat and sleep on the wheel. QUOTE(babybb @ Oct 19 2011, 02:57 PM) Haha..inferno urs case abit difficult.. i have a cooling plate as well.. but my hammy love it so much from the 1st day i brought. I put it at outside.. Evening when he sleep he normally will stick to the cooling plate like glue while nite normally he'll sleep inside his house. I usually clean his cooling plate quite often cos he'll make dirty it. Sometime i put the cooling plate & bathing sand inside fridge a while after that will put back into his cage. He will be so fun playing with the bathing sand as it was cold.. haha.. Well , i dont recommend that . Robo are desert animals , so they are usually in hot places. And when it is at night , they stay inside the burrow. I guess u can keep it under air cond but not too cold . Btw, i just wanna ask sifu at here.. Can robo hamster stand cold?? i mean if i open my air-cond 21°c can my robo stand the cool?? but usually i put his cage under my bed but i belief it's still cold.. Thank u. |

QUOTE(hublee91 @ Nov 4 2011, 09:39 PM) markjohn - hey bro, I remembered that your baby ham was eaten alive right? Well, it happened to me, RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW after this post (30 minutes ago). Really no idea what happened. :'( Dont worry out of 7 babies , my hammie ate 2 of her babies. 5 remaining. Sometime it is too much for the mom hamster to take care of so many hamster , she needs protein to supply milk to the babies , so she eats the babies so other babies can survive.OR She's stress. |

QUOTE(megahertz @ Nov 9 2011, 08:14 PM) hi guys, i just bought 1 pair of robo last sunday. and today when i back home, just found out they got 4babies. i didnt know robo that i bought is pregnant. (pet shop didnt separate by gender) First , dont touch the babies.now i put some tissue for them make nest. my robo put all her babies in wheel. so now i cant touch them at all for 2weeks rite? got 1 male in the cage, so far i didnt see any fighting yet. so hopefully the male will help take care the babies izit ok if i stop the wheel from spinning? as the robo put her babies in it and making the babies rolling when she running. if i stop the wheel for few days, izit ok with them as they dont have space to run. Second , take out the wheel , its dangerous for the babies. Even i took out mine when my hamster gave birth. Dont have to use tissue! You need the bedding so that the mom can remember the smell of the babies. You can mix tissue with bedding though. Dont worry , the mother dont take care of the babies 24/7. When i had the wheel when my hamster gave birth , i left it there for few days so that i wont disturb the mother . She will take care of the babies eventually. And dont keep seeing them. This may cause the mother to be stress and the mother will eat the babies! About the baby outside the nest , its okay. They wonder around. The mother will eventually find it and put it back inside the nest. This post has been edited by ix3Rukia: Nov 12 2011, 02:47 PM |

QUOTE(reila @ Nov 17 2011, 01:31 PM) u can try the petshop near folie folie. if im not wrong, the shop is called hup fatt. i think lar.. not too sure. but i know it is near folie folie ter.. a corner shop. i got mine from there. price is reasonable in terms of cages and hamster too. food as well. and hamster toilet. hahahaha.. i think i talk too much. good luck in looking for hamsters Well , what i did for my hamster is i hold the superworm and let it bite it to death then only i let go. When my hammie was pregnant , i fill her bowl with hamster food and superworm everyday . And she got eat Added on November 17, 2011, 1:34 pm@babybb : so cute. is that cake edible? i usually gave my hamster a special treat on her birthday every month Added on November 17, 2011, 2:29 pmi feed my Syrian hamster with mealworms occasionally. but she is giving me a headache The thing is, she doesn't kill the worm unless she wants to eat them. she doesn't eat worms that I killed for her! Fussy pot. btw, i am pissed with her. she ate up all her 8 babies of her first litter. that was of coz 3 weeks ago. while my other hamster never eats any of her baby hamster that she has even in cases which i thought she will. U can buy treats like dog food/biscuit/vegetable for her. I give mine apple as a treat. I dont suggest hello panda biscuit. Got contain milk and some hamsters cant tolerate human milk and get get diarrhea This post has been edited by ix3Rukia: Nov 17 2011, 11:34 PM |

QUOTE(reila @ Nov 18 2011, 09:32 AM) @ix3Rukia, ewww... i dun dare to hold those worms!! I find them very disgusting and geli and ewwwww.... I usually use a spoon to scope them and give it to my hamster!! Or , she does not like the smell of the pedicure. Lol. The worms u need 'right' method for it to be hold or else it will keep twisting and try to bite ur finger T^T. Today , one of my guppy died and i take out and put on floor awhile , while cleaning the tank. Then when i look for it , the dead guppy missing. ( my hamster ate it while i let it run on the floor ._. yumyum protein )@babybb, totally understand how hard it is to capture a nice photo of a hyperactive hamster! hahahaha.. it is easier to capture when they are young and ignorant. when you make funny noises she will stand up and start listening. now that she is used to all sorts of funny noises she never pay attention anymore. haha.. I recently found out that my hamster is jealous of me doing pedicure. everytime i did my pedicure, she will come up to me when i let he roam around my room and bite my toe before walking off. warning bite. |

QUOTE(Nekochan @ Nov 23 2011, 11:17 AM) Recently I have been taking care of my cousin's robo while they go outstation and I realized that they started to pile up all the bedding and even tear out some of the paper from the kitchen roll tube. my single male hamster loves making nest using tissue paper and loves to horde food thereAre they building a nest or something? Because I think one of them is female and one is male. Is the female perhaps pregnant now? My aunt said they were once fooled thinking that the robo was pregnant when after 21 days, nothing happened. So, now, I'm thinking if I should prepare for her. |

QUOTE(Nekochan @ Nov 25 2011, 11:35 PM) Well i can say that she's pregnant because suddenly she got so large and i saw her nipples. So, pregnant? I think yes...Now im preparing her. Should I separate the male though? Yes you should. After pregnancy , you may want to put in a small litter box there because the female will pee more than usual. I had to clean the litter box everyday when my female was pregnant! I use to put in bathing sand inside but it became all wet and soggy so i put in bedding so its not too wasteful and the next day , its fully soaked + have extra peeLucky my female didnt eat the babies although i everyday see her This post has been edited by ix3Rukia: Nov 26 2011, 01:29 PM |
