Anyways guideline for a healthy food mix :-

protein - 17 to 22%
fibre - 8 - 10%
fat - 4 - 6 %

try to find the best that can suit this. If you want to treat your hamsters, why not try fresh food? My hamster likes tauge or green bean but one tip, you hold it and control their portion. Don't let them take and stash it else it goes bad. Don't go too much with fresh food either, give them bit by bit to see if they're ok with it, if too much water content, they can kena diarhea.

Also sunflower seed (kuaci) and corn are NOT to be made as their staple food. It's fattening and sugary. Give them as treat. I heard that you shouldn't give more than 5 a day. I give my hamster kuaci after it ran in the ball for 15 mins - as a reward. Use that to bond with your hamster. My hamster will stand up if he thinks he's getting kuaci, he's been "trained" that way. They love their kuaci but you as the parent must control their intake.

My hamster used to sleep on his cold plate when the weather was dry few months ago. Very cute. It's ok to give them the cold plate.

No, to my knowledge it is not normal for
a ham to constantly groom itself. It
could mean that there are mites still
present and/or the ham is nervous. Has
Hamtari's owner properly cleaned the
cage and objects in the cage to get rid
of the mites there as well (no harsh
chemicals, just mild soap and water and
lots of rinsing!)? Is Hamtari still taking
the anti-mite medicine? I would advise
her to have her call the vet back up and
ask if they will do a re-examination for
mites based on the excessive grooming.
The one bit of good news is that the
flakes have gone away. Can you ask her
if she sees any little hairs growing back
at all in the bald spot (it looks like baby
fur!).

I guess my Robo is almost 1 that's why he has fur loss.
And I also found out my other winter gold also had a huge bald patch, but according to the article she's moulting, so yeah, no worries though.

Probably you should not give more medication, just another visit to the vet, and let nature take its course. :/

I need a help on opinion guys.
I have this thing where when I love my "kids", I want a generation of "children" under them.
I was thinking to get a boy within one month. Perhaps a winter, to mate with my winter gold.
The thing is, I'm scared that my house may be too crowded.

I have
1 winter gold in a a big cage in my room
1 winter pearl in medium cage at the living room
2 robo in small cage at the living room

There is still space in the living room, but my sister might be getting a rabbit (onlyGodknowswhen).

So should I adopt another male? I want my gold girl to have babies before she's barren. She's about 4 months old.

Demodex mites are very treatable, which
is why I think she should take her ham
back to the vet for a follow up visit.
Properly dosed medicine is going to be
the only way Hamtari can get rid of
these nasty mites.
No diet changes are going to help get
rid of the mites, but a good diet will
help with overall health.
Can you have Hamtari's owner find out
what medicine she is giving her
hamster? If it is an antibiotic like your
message says, then this will have no
affect on the mites. There are specific
anti-parasite drugs that can be specially
dosed for a hamster to get rid of mites,
and and antibiotic is not going to work.
The vet may have given an antibiotic to
prevent an infection in the skin, but it
will not kill the mites.

I am not so sure about injured leg as well, its best to ask the vet.

As for my hamster its a bit different case. Actually I was going on vacation on friday to penang, woke up in the morning & get ready & stuff. Then I saw my hamster outside of his house so I was wondering & wanted to fill his bowl. That was when I found out he was dying already, his body was like twisted also, like he twist his spine or something.

Searching for vet in subang but all seems like opening 10am & that time was only 8am. Even the emergency vet at subang was close so I decided to take my hamster to ipoh lor. Cant wait d, then reach at ipoh searching for vet. Manage to find 1 only, but I think that vet is not very good la. Idk la...I feel only...

I asked him why my hamster spine like this, he say not spine but the hamster nerves like this already thats why the body not straight anymore, my hamster dehydrated d. Maybe he was suffering since last night so didnt drink water? Idk la coz I went to bed early since wanted to travel to penang the next day ma.

Then the vet said he cant do anything, he cant find any blood vessel to put drips also...my hamster dying due to old age. I suspect that is true but not sure about that nerve statement, but impossible for him to bend his spine also la coz my cage got no high place for him to climb also.

Vet gave vitamins for my hamster, 3 drops daily & told me to buy glucose mix with water & keep feeding. This also I not sure coz from what I read hamster not supposed take sugar stuff but then I dont have a choice since hamster is not eating & I cant give milk also coz I google they say not good.

He passed away the moment I step into the the resort. But then in ipoh the car we travelling got accident a bit with another car. My mum say my hamster took our bad luck & save us. She say maybe we might involved in terrible accident but the hamster took that bad luck to safe us coz animals is like this wan. Even for dogs they can sense danger before it happens. E.g before tusanmi happened got many such stories with dogs also....not sure...old people believe...  

More than 2years d, not sure the exact age coz was given by my aunty. The signs I notice he is getting old is (in order):

-Started sleeping more than usual.
-Started sleeping on his wheel after using it a while
-Started eating less than usual
-Stop eating food that needs extra work such as sunflower seed.
-Stop digging the bedding to cover his house even if I used air con.
-Doesn't come out at 12am often
-Stopped using the wheel
-Stop climbing on the house or wooden bridge
-Couldn't stand anymore, like in the alert state
-keep faling down even when eating, like starting to lose balance
-back legs dosent work properly anymore, like sometimes he drag his behind leg like its injured or something but its not. More like being limped.

The last sign it might do is this:

Idk if something choked or what but the vet didnt say any such thing. Just gave vitamin, looks like thick syrup to fed 3 times a day, so I just put 1 drop to its tongue but my hamster was eating that though & drinking water whenever I put it in his mouth. Anyways just to remind you guys to spend more time with your hamster & look out for old age signs.

My hamster did that for half a day after passing away. I read some people say some hamsters dies in their sleep so it depends I guess.
I never heard delikate got scented bedding before, but I used to use the normal 1 before. Now I using homefriends bedding. Its paper based bedding, very good but a bit expensive. I got a little bit left & some hamster food to sell, if you want to try let me know
