I hope Hasbro Malaysia brings in the Dollar Store Basic figures... at least they come with a stand

The dollar store ones...how much retail in us? (1 dollar?!) That black trooper is the only one I am interested and great for army building.

In the TRU promotion leaflet I seen from PAradigm Mall outlet, Gi Joe 2 merchandise will be available at TRU from June onwards.

Starting price from RM 5X.XX!!!? Typo error or what?

Expensive because have to pay royalty to WWE for using Dwayne Johnson face on the card? lol. I like the older Gi Joe cards...each and one is unique, adding to special collectible value to them.

Singapore TRU selling basic figs at $19.95 each .Sucks but fortunately for me ,I've quitted Joes .Just need a few Retaliation figs and I'm moving on to more important stuff.

Phew! And I thought how you gonna army build this Gi Joe 2 series. Since Hasbro Msia wants to play inflation, I rather not buy at all. Not as if they are bringin alot to be enjoyed by many.

I want a Cobra trooper card with a trooper illustration, not da ROCK!

Done with army building.And with the inflated pricing ,I'm better of getting deluxe TF which costs few ringgit more but at least there's playability factor.
The Rock figure towers over the other wave 1 figs but Hasbro screwed up by giving him hands that cannot grip anything.

Gi JOe 25th anniversary was only RM 19.90 in the market, a year before GI movie release which lead Hasbro Msia to upgrade price to RM 39.90 to match other 3.75 inch figures.

YOur marines army building using Duke was commendable. Impressive!

Then Hasbro limited and completely cut Pursuit of Cobra wave. Had to order from US +shipping.

yeah the good old days when 25th cost RM18-RM20 and comic packs cost RM36-RM39.90.
POC Waves 1-4 are awesome .

One of the best part I luv is their weapons and accessories are plenty and can be interchange with other characters.

I heard Gi Joe 2 movie pushed back to March 2013 cuz Hasbro now wants to incorporate 3D effects. Wow...this is new, toys go up for sale a year early.

Today's haul from TRU .So few figures and it costs me RM697 .
And the stocks are shipped directly from Toys LiFung instead of Hasbro Malaysia .

So they've hit our stores already. Awesome

Sad thing though the movie is pushed to next year together with waves 2 onwards. You getting the HISS tank? I'm passing on that one. Fail tank to me..the ninjas are awesome though. How much for a single carded fig?

How much for individual figures and 3 packs? Maybe will grab some. Not really excited with retaliation line.

We might get wave 2 locally.

Perhaps next year we may get lucky.

I noticed that the plastic material is of cheaper variation that the previous offerings(25th,ROC,POC,30th).
Red Ninja,Joe Trooper,SS all possess rocker ankle joints.
I highly recommend getting the Joe Trooper.Lotsa accessories,lotsa weapons and 4 friggin holsters.

By placing a chinese label, TRU can apply high price for these Hasbro items. RM 61 per 3.75 inch is ridiculous (bro darkshadow pls dun be offended as Im expressing my own view).

Wish it was RM40 so we can buy with ease...even for army building.

At RM61 a fig, it is crazy prices. You thought RM39.90 was bad, this is worse. And the 5 packs ROC at the time was going for RM119.90 if I remember correctly..now 3 pack for RM162. Madness.

And the HISS tank that has no rolling treads, RM160++. Madness again. I'm passing up on buying locally and maybe buy from BBTS..my Crimson HISS tanks are still there. Or maybe pass up on the movie line entirely. POC and 30th has been the best so far for me. If only they continued with the line and not have to stop for the movie line which now has been pushed to March 2013. MADNESS.

Im upset with Rm61 price placed by TRU but I also dun want to offend bro darkshadow or others who have purchased them at those prices.

Rm 61 price is within the range of 6inch category.

Does that mean that with chinese labels and TRU Exclusive labels, TRU Msia can price them as they like? Previously on enquiries on other products, their Customer Service told me that they would only bring in products which are:

1) greatly demanded by customers
2) not offered by local distributor
3) resonably priced for respective catergory (meaning Msia dun favor Special Edition or Limited to TRU stuff)

I smell something fishy going on within TRU Msia. Why offer products which would be priced higher than usual retail price? Thundercats at RM46.90 oreldi at high side. Same goes for MIB figures.

Boys dept purchasing/ ordering by a specific person (Mr A). Didnt they do market survey and feasiblity study before considering bringin in that particular merchandise?

General math: RM 61 - RM 42.90 = RM 18.10

TRU like any customer would fully pay their supplier/ distributor. But not surprisingly if distributor reimburse Mr A for his/ her orders.

Sorry to sidetrack from Gi Joe toys discussion. Right now Im sticking to looking for those figures of previous series from ebay US.

It's insane and ridiculous. But I adopt the buy now ,regret later mentality just for this once.
In case next year's wave1 offering will consist of entirely different figs.
Besides, I'm only getting selected figs, so the damage is less felt .

Yes, apparently TRUs received the variant waves.So all 3 cases in PG's TRU consist of black CC and tan Joe Trooper.

Not offended at all coz I felt the same way.Like I told Cranx, I'm adopting a buy now ,regret later attitude just for this once.

I think evilbay sells them cheaper though.

POC Hiss Tanks cost RM90.I managed to get one for RM80.At least the driver has full articulation.
Just found out that Wave 2 onwards had been delayed to March 2013.
