Hi, guys. Appreciate if anyone could advise me on my 1st PL application.

Briefly, I'm earning ~rm38k per year beginning this year Jan 2013. I've an Aeon Express account (bought washing machine & fridge last year, have another <rm500 left to settle soon ).. and have car loan approved by maybank in April ~rm57k. Both of these commitments paid earlier than due date, never missed at all.

Yesterday morning, I applied the Aeon PL for rm15k for 3years (~rm540 monthly at 0.84% rate). Since I'm already a member and have good record, this morning got an sms from them stated my loan approved and require my bank book, IC etc. So fast! So, I called them to confirm appointment time, but sadly they approved only rm5k. Is it normal for not getting the amount requested? They said I have high commitments. Gotta see them tomorrow for further details..

I don't have ptptn, never applied any loans other than the two things mentioned above. Am I missing something here, or should I go for another bank? Salary bank is rhb, CC is uob.
