my GTX 260m i said to have equivalent to desktop 9800GT GPU, my processor are P8700 laptop proc, more or less same with your clock speed

i'm using 8GB DDR3 ram, last time using 4GB ddr3

i play at medium settings, no AA, 1680x1050 resolution (highest possible for my laptop screen)

so if you dont run full HD should be able to run at low settings, no need lowest i guess tongue.gif

imagine if BF3 got this gun

As Gamescom goes on, more and more details are coming out as people get their hands on Battlefield 3, and as EA and DICE open up more about the game. Here's a new list of what we now know.

* Scoring in the game has changed to be more team-focused
* B3 includes "hardcore" and "infantry only" modes as options
* Clan support, VoIP in Battlelog
* LAN support not present initially, but may come later via a patch
* There won't be an in-game server browser - this will all go through Battlelog
* Very high ceiling for the maps
* Jets will stall at high altitudes
* Mini robot [EOD] can repair tanks and arm crates.
* Mini robot [EOD] can carry around and place explosives
* Mini robot [EOD] can be taken out via one rocket hit
* Scout helicopters present
* No fog used to limit draw distance in the game
* Aircraft carriers exist, but they can't be controlled.

i can foresee someone will use scout heli for air-to-air with combat heli and jet sweat.gif

We only saw the little bird Strafing in the bad part of town gameplay.

In multiplayer it's only meant for scout , we don't have any more confirmation that it will have guns since the main role is just for reconnaissance task.

Battlefield 3 PC version won’t have in-game server browser
Gentlemen , BF3 For PC is fked up

user posted image

The tables have turned. A day after we gladly reported that console gamers would be getting this great PC feature called “server browser”, we can now report that PC gamers won’t have an in-game server browser. DICE’s Alan Kertz has confirmed that in order to switch servers, you have to exit Battlefield 3, and use Battlelog to find another server and join.

Granted, Kertz points out that BF3 “starts up really fast”, but we can’t imagine it being more effective than having an in-game server browser, which has been the norm in PC games for decades — in fact, there’s no other game that requires you to exit in order to switch servers.

Considering that server switching is frequent among gamers, either because of rage quitting or trying to find a better game, or something third, this could cause some annoyance. We’ll have to wait and see how it plays out (no pun intended) when Battlefield 3 is released. So far, it’s kinda disappointing news, but we’ll see how it turns out in the end.

Console gamers now have in-game server browser, while PC gamers don’t. Oh the irony.

Time to rage?

I really really really really really hate the system they used in BF Heroes and Play4Free. It is so annoying to launch a game from a browser.

Now, the main menu is a browser. Really wtf man.

Then, there is completely no way to have BF3 added as none steam game then.

Why is DICE so stupid in this regards?
*
Dice has nothing to do with Steam group.

It's EA , to monopolies all their EA Games.

Also , Steam doesn't let developers release DLC , since it won't be profitable to them (Or something like that)

Battlefield 3′s 3D spotting explained
Phase 2 : Complete

user posted image

One of the big complaints from gamers was the spotting system in the recent Battlefield games (most notably Bad Company 2), where enemies spotted would be marked, and the marker would stay on them even if the enemy retreated behind cover. This is why many referred to 3D spotting as wall hack.

Many have lobbied DICE to change the system, and it seems they’ve listened. According to DICE game designer Alan Kertz, the 3D spotting has been revamped in Battlefield 3. When you spot an enemy and he is in direct line of sight, a red marker will appear and will stay on the enemy as long as he is in your line of sight. If the enemy withdraws behind cover, the marker will disappear. However, the enemy will still be shown on the mini map for a set period of time.

Vehicles on the other hand, will always be marked, even if they retreat behind cover and you can’t directly see them. It will also be possible to spot enemies while in “freelook” inside jets, helicopters and other vehicles.
