QUOTE(Neo|ofGeo @ Sep 20 2011, 10:29 PM) I still recommend Sager, if you dont mind importing.Asus comes to second, as its the biggest bang for buck after Sager. A much smaller bang, though. MSI is a good alternative too, despite the ah beng design. Much more reliable, to be honest. QUOTE(DarkknightDK @ Sep 20 2011, 10:30 PM) Haha yeap..I added Sager and might be going for Asus and this only....Thanks alot guys!!!! PS: Good advice there Cheesenium..Alot of my peeps offered Alienware this and that...But I heard its too overated...Nearly ask my dad to choose Mx17(If not mistaken)...Haha, now i could back to up as ur gunner with lesser laggyness adi Cheese.. Alienware is damn good if you have the budget, ie RM10k and above, as Dell's warranty is far better than Asus in Malaysia. Not to forget the bling bling and design that will make Macbook looks like tin can.I say, go for Sager, and try not to get Asus, as G53 isnt that good now, as its aging and the specs isnt that good. I dont think G74 can fit your budget. Some of the local models have downclocked GPU which is something you dont want. Gentech is a decent place to order from, and i do recommend it as a lot of LYN forumers ordered their MSI and Asus laptops from there. http://www.gentechpc.com/index.asp I am using an Asus RoG laptop now, though. Also, i recommend you to check the user's feedback in the notebook section. I can give some feedback on mine. QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Sep 20 2011, 10:32 PM) yup Sager is good...can customize if u want just like alienware if i m not mistaken....but need to order online if i m not mistaken too... AW is only great if you have RM10k and above as they have more options to customise.nah dont get alienware....u are paying extra just for the 'brand name' |

In my opinion, go for Asus or Alienware.I know Sager offers the best performance for the price, but after 3 years, the specs will be outdated. If you buy Asus Republic of Gamers or Alienware, though the specs get outdated after few years, you will still love the laptops because of the awesome design of the laptops (these gaming laptops have that kind of Lamborghini car design, and with the backlit keyboard, or maybe a SteelSeries keyboard in MSI gaming laptops, will really make you go if Sager, the design is normal...but specs powerful for the price... depends on you... Mobile Computing at Lowyat got many pros, you can ask for their recommendation |

QUOTE(wilsonphua @ Sep 20 2011, 10:54 PM) In my opinion, go for Asus or Alienware. The point of getting Sager is, with RM6k+ you can get one of the top of the range GPU, while with Asus, Alienware and MSI you are probably stuck with a 560GTX. Thats a lot of difference in terms of performance as desktop GPUs are far better than a mobile GPU. Might as well get the most out of it. Sager is known to be ultra reliable and very easy to maintain from past feedback.I know Sager offers the best performance for the price, but after 3 years, the specs will be outdated. Mobile Computing at Lowyat got many pros, you can ask for their recommendation Go google a G53 dis-assembly manual and i bet you'll faint as its so complicated to take one apart. Even just to change the hard disk. Sager laptops only have 4-6 screws at the back to open to access the GPU, CPU, HDD, RAM. Anything you buy will be outdated in 3 years time. Even smart phones are outdated after 6 months. What makes you think that a RoG or AW will be as good as new after 3 years? Besides, the Lamborghini design for that Asus laptop is based on the same platform of a G73. Essentially you are just buying an overpriced G73/74. Looks isnt everything, seriously and these laptops arent suppose to be brought around to show off to people. They are heavy and big and the heat they emit will shut down the laptops in front of the vents. No one wants to sit near you with that giant monster. Mine even shut down a Macbook and a Sony once, due to the heat from the vents. I'll always pick performance over looks any day. If not, its just another Macbook. Blow people away with visuals and audio, not the looks. Not that i hate Macbooks entirely, but i really dont like the price tag they have. Overpriced tin cans.
