Hi guys, since now the pricings for the Dell Inspiron 13R has been lowered; what do you think about these laptops? Yeah I know they're outdated in terms of technology, but for normal usage they seemed okay? hmm.gif

Worth it IMO, the old Inspiron keyboard which don't uses the chiclet keyboard feels way too mushy and soft to type into. The 2nd Inspiron 13R you mentioned are RM19xx so its around the same price bracket

It's not the post count that counts, it's about contribution to others and also the recommendations of other forum members and also staff scouting.

I agree on the keyboard part laugh.gif
The new ones really nice yo, but must 1st remove the plastic covering the keyboard hehe~
Hmmm in between i5-480m and i3-2330m, which one would you choose?
For me I guess I'd still go for the latter, less heat laugh.gif

I'll take the SB i3 too. Lower power consumption and less heat would win the day for me.

hmmm, any netbooks worth to get nowadays??

I wanna get one for Uni use but don't wanna waste so much money on it since my laptop is just 1 year++ only...

Looking at 1015B but C-50 seems not powerful enough...

I like the EOL'ed AO522 but the only downside is the 3-cell battery...

Hp-dm1z seems out of my budget... For that price, I'd rather top up a bit more and get x121e in UK which is much mroe powerful..

I was considering netbook previously, but finally decided to go for a full SB in V131. I really think 1.5ghz atom / fusion are not fast enough for running Visual Studio, VMware, etc. My current CPU is i5-460m, 3dmark06 = 3k, e-350 = 1k. SuperPI (16) for i5 = 16, e-350 = 51.

So, the e-350 is like 1/3 of the speed of i5-460m, that could make me go crazy...

*warning* those are simply estimation. really dont know how it feel when using e-350, may be it's not that bad for normal browsing...

I have never used an atom or c-50.. Is it really that slow? I just need it to jot down lecture notes or view lecture slides.. I know the resolution would be a downside but just have to cope with it since it's cheap.. Rm799 is really worth it cause any normal netbooks in Uk are at least rm1000 Even after converted..
