I'd rather much see the likes of Scott Parker at Arsenal than those over-hyped FM players i.e. Hazard, Gourcuff, Jadson, e.t.c
Parker is a different player from the others you've named there.
Having said that, we probably would benefit more from a player like Parker since we've only got Frimpong as backup for Song's role.

Losing 25M? Descent? You serious? Yea Cesc would only bent for Barca.. but telling his Spanish lovers and media "the only club i will go next is Barca ONLY" really dont help... Like you said, it only blocked out healthy competitive bidders. Cesc should have kept his mouth shut, and let the club that groom him, which is arsenal, have the upper hand in nego. If not, then just play till your contract finish.. and before dont commit for long term if you really dont plan to stay long. Whatever it is, openly stating your preference of your future club can only be deemed as you trying to engineer a move away. Enough said.
and if this is true, it will be even more of a joke. the 10m add ons even depend on cesc's performance next season. Nvm bout the few Ms, really, just rot on the bench.
I've no idea why you bear so much hate for Fabs. You seem to whipping him non-stop ever since the Barcelona saga unveiled this summer.
Fabs has always stated that he will only join Barcelona should he leaves. Keeping his mouth shut is all he has done so far, compared to others like Nasri or even Adebayor before him. From day one we all knew that Barcelona has a special place in his heart and one day he will return, and unfortunately the moment is now.
It's never easy to squeeze more money from a deal where there's only one bidder and the player wants to leave. Sure, everyone would like a 80M windfall like C.Ronaldo's depature to RM but it's a different issue here. No other team would even want to join the bid war because everyone knew Fabs will not consider anywhere apart from his home team.
There has never been a doubt that Fabs played his heart out for us. That's all we can ask for from a player - footballers are after all, employees of a club and as long as they do their job no one can blame them. They do not necessarily need to have the amount of affection we have for the club because they don't have to be fans, just workers. Not to say Fabs doesn't love the club, only a moron will claim as such.
For whatever reasons he has the lead to his departure, there's always more great memories that he left with us:
The first emergence of a skinny kid with a mullet.
The simple tap-in that made him the youngest goal scorer.
The screaming (possibly even spitting) at Ballack.
The Cesc Fabregas show.
The possible culprit of Pizzagate.
The closest anyone to emulating Dennis Bergkamp.
The throughballs, the chips, the late surges, the goals.
The time he came off the bench, won us the game vs Villa, and then went off injured.
The leg that he broke when playing against his favourite team.
Fabregas deserves nothing less than utmost respect for his contributions to Arsenal; thanks for being one of Arsenal's most gifted and passionate players ever.
Now that he's gone, we shall groom a new one... and this time he has Arsenal DNA. And one day when Wilshere decides to leave (fingers crossed that never happens), I hope I don't see you slamming him too or I'll be slamming you.

OMG.Wenger hails barton and ''joked'' that the only way to sort him out is to sign him LOL
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/...courage?cc=4716Read the last line

From all the articles and interviews after the scuffle, it seems that both sides have calmed down and are trying to put out any fires.
Barton's character needs no more introduction, but stooping down to his level isn't going to make us any classier. Nevertheless, he is doing some damage-control and kudos for Joey for actually admitting his own mistake by acting recklessly and going down easily. Maybe deep down he does have some conscience after all.
Arsene's using his good old humour to relieve the tension in this situation - it's pretty pointless to add more fury into this since we are definitely going to lose Gervy and likely Song too due to his idiocy. Can we do anything about Barton? No, so why be upset about it?
Do we need a thug in our team? Absolutely not. Steel does not equate thuggery. And seeing how Arsene emphasises on a player's character and attitude, there's no chance on earth that we're ever going to sign Barton.
