I am looking to buy a pair of "value for money" bookshelf speakers, maybe 2 ways.
Although I know RM1k is a bit less, I want to know what your guys would recommend with that amount. If possible, please provide the companies selling the speakers.

FYI, I a am mostly into classical, classic rock (pink floyd, bad company) and 20% movie.

That is the one of many comes across my mind. I believe I can audition it at htkaki's? Any comment on this cutie?

Monitor audio br2, very musical. But I think it's slightly above 1k.

Hi 'all !! I've got a freaking stupid question here that i hope y'all can help !! Can i use 'Bookshelf type Speaker for movie playing ?? And normally, what the cost for a pair of pretty decent (CHEAP) one ?? Appreciate for the help !

Nobody has stupid questions.

A good and musical bookshelf speakers definitely will do well for movies. The other way around may not be always true.

Cost? that depend how much you willing to pay. I am trying to create this thread to collect all the info for any sub 1k speakers. I believe they can sound good. Hopefully this can be a reference point for people who are tight in budget like me. If you have any sub RM1k candidate speaker you came across, please let me know so I can add it to the 1st post.

The Epos is worth auditioning too.

should also consider 2nd hand, some good deals may come up at the TS's budget
