If dividend is paid via E-Dividend, how many days after the Payment Date would it be in our bank account ?

QUOTE(fuzzy @ Jan 30 2012, 01:43 PM)
How do I find out when / how they will distribute this?

Also sifus, if I bought at 1.23, now at 1.35, this means I get 0.057 or more? Or is it per share regardless of the price you bought at?
*
If you hold 1000 shares of TWRREIT until EX-Date (15-Feb-2012), you will get RM57 as dividend (either in cheque or E-Dividend)

You don't need to apply, it has nothing to do with you or shareholders.
It is company whether they have adopted or not only.
*
But you as shareholder should have enabled your CDS account with E-Dividend capable.

Also, how many dividend will REITs generally announce in a year? Quarterly? Half Quarter? Yearly?
*
Usually Dividend annoucement is twice a year or 4 times a year depends on the REIT

When dividend is announced and before Ex-Date, the REIT stock will go up due to heavy buying as everyone wants to earn from the dividend payout

NEW ISSUE OF SECURITIES (CHAPTER 6 OF LISTING REQUIREMENTS)

AMFIRST REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST (AmFIRST REIT OR THE FUND)

(I)  PROPOSED RENOUNCEABLE RIGHTS ISSUE ON THE BASIS OF THREE (3) NEW UNITS IN
AmFIRST REIT FOR EVERY FIVE (5) EXISTING UNITS IN AmFIRST REIT (UNITS) AT AN
ENTITLEMENT DATE TO BE DETERMINED LATER (PROPOSED RIGHTS ISSUE); AND

(II)  PROPOSED INCREASE IN THE EXISTING APPROVED FUND SIZE OF AmFIRST REIT OF
429,001,000 UNITS TO 686,401,600 UNITS (PROPOSED INCREASE IN FUND SIZE)
(COLLECTIVELY REFERRED TO AS THE PROPOSALS)
What does this mean ?
If I owned 5 units of AMFIRST, I will get extra 3 units ?
Do I have to pay for the 3 new units ?

Yes
you have to pay for it, if not willing to pay, you can sell it to the market which the right issue right will be traded about 2 weeks.
*
Will the 3 new units be sold to me at below market rate or at market rate ?
If I don't buy it, these 3 units will be traded at market price, right ?

Liquidated 75% of REITs yesterday, profit taking. I entered the market in Qtr3/Qtr4 2011; made some 15% profit inc distribution.

Will pick them up post PRU-13 i.e. somewhere in June/July-2012.

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Mar 19 2012, 03:36 PM)
Currently there are 15 Reits in KLSE

Just a funny thought, is there anyone here buy all the 15 Reits?

I did a quick calculation, it needs less than RM20k to have all (assuming you buy 1,000 shares each).

Which is better?

A) Buy all 15 M-Reits at 1,000 shares each, or,

B) Choose 3 Reits (could be more, or less) & focus on buying more later.
*
Option A gives you diversity....
