im very happy to see Guthrie form.
arguably better than cabaye by far.

good passing, smart dribbling and good positioning.

Best, arguably our best striker available for selection, played out wide

What on earth was Pardew thinking, and dont get me started on Ameobi

Newcastle have never won their last 8 FA Cup matches away from home. Make it 9 in a row now. Newcastle United controlled the game but credit to Brighton & Gustavo Poyet, defended really well and is fortunate to score that deflected goal. James Perch is JINX and Shola Ameobi as captain is a JOKE although he did better than last game!

Simpson mistake was costly sigh and we are unlucky, i think complacency cause us

cannot blame perch because he was playing out of position, he's actually quite good when playing as defensive midfield. i still could not accept the fact that pardew kept on giving chances to shola when he showed his consistency of laziness in match after match. it was a match against non championship side, we have loven and vuckic who at least can give us extra options up front to do the job.

if shola stays for another year, i dunno what else to say. sigh... disappointing sad.gif

meh, we did not bring in a backup CB, i can't help but think that not doing so will hurt our chances in the coming months if Willo or Collo gets injured (touch lots of wood)

apart from the lack of a backup CB, this is a pretty good window, we kept all our players and bagged the second deadliest striker in the Bundesliga last season

looking forward to double Demba trouble...

Obooooooooooootak!

With Perch playing 45 mins, we won 2-0 OMG

Added on February 2, 2012, 6:01 amResolute defending from everyone tonight, including a pen stopped by Krul

We're constantly pressured by Blackburn in the 2nd half, giving away 14 corners and throwing away countless amount of possession

Although it was a sloppy and ugly game to watch, we managed to grind out a win which matters the most rclxm9.gif

Up and away to 5th! thumbup.gif

Cant fathom the fans here who criticizing Perch today who stabilize our midfield a bit with his interception, i already said from early season that his a CDM not a fullback or a proper CB, and for Ameobi, he did okay today esp on defending, only one mistake is during Dann's header but for others he did better than last game, he was immense in defending set pieces which is Blackburn main threat, thou his attackin can be improve, but way better than his last 3 4 games and even won a lot of headers this time, if i would criticize i would say our midfield is dead, our wingers supporting is so late, so many times Best and Ameobi upfront and lonely but no one came in to support

i still superstitious that Perch is jinx is he started, but his sub its fine hahhaah

we were awful to watch and got totally outplayed, but can't argue with the result, 2 goals and a clean sheet away from home, thought Obertan took his goal really really well and gave us a bit of a flattering scoreline...

one major point i'd like to make, well done James Perch take a bow, thought he came on and provided us with a bit of bite in midfield, just what we needed, snappy in tackles, not afraid of a battle and shielded the back four superbly...he would be a close second to Collo for man of the match for me...

I know most will point to Krul saving the penalty but apart from that he wasn't his usual self, came out needlessly and his kicking was a bit off...

and need i point out again that Shola is pants lol...At least the results sets me up for the week until Villa...Howay the lads!!!
