currently i'm on froyo 2.2 dxjpa + speedmod kernel

1. do i have froyo bootloader?
2. if yes, can i straight away flash to cm7 rom from froyo 2.2?

GB bootloader with CM7 does it really improve the battery life obviously? anyone here tried?

Anyway i'm still stuck with 2.1 (Eclair). Phone can't be detected (installed the USB driver like the first page, still can't). Can't go to recovery / download mode (tried few steps shown in the first page, didn't work also).

Guess the only solution is to get the Download Mode USB. Is it available at Lowyat Plaza? Or just drop by Samsung centre? Did they offer flashing services?

ok ic3joker, here are my current steps to flash to GB, tell me if there's anything wrong with it..

from CM7:

1) flash XXJVQ with bootloaders via Odin (without disabling lagfix) (*dont know how to disable lagfix for CM7)
2) flash galaxian kernel to get access to root
3) flash latest nightlies
4) flash gapps
5) flash custom kernel

correct steps? 

hi guys I have a problem with my SGS again sigh. My phone suddenly reboots by itself and constantly stuck at the restart screen. My phone is rooted and I'm running 2.3.4 atm with F1 SGS2 rom installed. Any help regarding this problem? I googled for the solution but most of the threads online ends up without any answer.

edit: and yeah I couldnt get to the desktop of the phone

Now i'm in CM7, 7.0 i think, i try to flash to 8.0 but failed i suppose. I heard you guys said battery improve with gingerbread bootloader, so i wanna give it a try.

or EZ3.0 is a gingerbread bootloaders?

Just sharing some comment on miui, firstly by deleting the telocation provider.apk does give better battery life.. BUT bad thing bout miui is... I can't change the theme  , no matter how i apply i still can't change anything it still went back to the default theme... then I'm using go launcher everytime i reboot da phone, my current go launcher configuration will be loss... in order to get it back i have to reinstall the apk. but then it says This will replace the current apllication... meaning the application is there and go launcher just can't detect it.... dono why  ..... LASTLY whenever i received call I have to wait about 3 sec for the screen to wake and only then i can answer the phone....zzz getting bored.....just my humble opinion..... any1 encounter similar situation? ........... thinking of going cm7............

guys, just flashed CM7, but when try to DL 3G Watchdog from Market, it says insufficient space.. checked storage using the Settings, still got alot left :stars

P/S: I realised sometimes the status bar like reception, data connection sometimes in green, sometimes in white, any difference?

did u try clear dataur market?

green data upload/ dld been working..... if white non data being trasfer/ working

I have given my old SGS to a family member to use.

I would like to flash a stable ROM with minimal bugs and lag.
Is Stock XXJVQ, followed by Speedmod K15I kernel, then apply EXT4 lagfix the way to go?

duh..before flash galaxian, i convert to RFS & thought i can rolledback to EXT4 after flash..but just realized that galaxian will auto-detect RFS/EXT4 during flash..izit?

so now how to convert back to EXT4?
- flash speedmod back, convert to ext4 in recovery & flash galaxian back
- or, any method to convert on galaxian?

hye guys..im new to android and ofcoz galaxys..just bought mine yesterday..before i use symbian so i dont know how about it until i read from here..meanwhile when i read..i noticed that version 2.3.4 are out..and mine was 2.3.3..when i try to use kies to upgrade the firmware it says the device cannot update..have anyone experience it and i did read about odin and cfm..do this kind of flash will void my waranty?dont bash me ya u guys. i know u all very nice and helpfull one..
