I bought my phone with Maxis on 22nd June and yesterday bought another 1 through Digi for my wife. I found mine screen is yellowish and my wife phone's screen is bluish. Both no problem on camera pinkish.

the external_sd is there..but cant select it.. :S

May i suggest for a new thread for SGSII newcomers.?
One reason is to keep this thread from ever growing like no tomorrow. Secondly, i find a lot of newcomers are former Nokia, Blackberry and iPhone user. Since they come from a totally different OS, there a bound to be some newcomers who can't grasp Android jargon or meaning although they have done some reading at our wiki on page 1.

I know these newcomers can ask here BUT i have seen quite a few times when they got rebuked just because they ask some question that seem noob to us but i'm sure it's difficult to them.

We have more than 600+ SGSII user in our forum but there are less than 100 who is active here. Where all the rest gone?
I strongly believe a bulk of this non-active user are newcomers that are either to shy or to scared to ask anything in this forum. And they simply fade away. :-(

With a new thread, noob, newbie (or whateverelse we call them) can have a place to ask anything out of their heart content about what they don't understand WHILE at the same time not disturbing this thread that mostly full of discussion about theme, overclocking, undervolting, tweaking, cooking, rooting and flashing custom roms.

Will somebody think of this..?

Normal you say.. hmm... You got any facts to back up that claim? BTW, is not little blueish.. I aspect it to be white and not blue when it suppose to be.

For me is not normal as all my other phones with this so call Super AMOLED Plus have this blueish tint issue.

Can, for draft the pop up menu is view contact and delete thread. But remember the magic word, only this tine you have to shout real loud ~~ haha ~~

seriously... what i mean is:
* i got a conversation for on with say FREN.
* i typed one sms but decided not to send yet. so save as draft. now in the conversation thread, there is a draft sms.

i can't seem to figure if there is a way to just delete the draft sms. at the moment, when viewing the thread, the draft sms will be in the text box and i will have to select ALL text and then delete.

what i was hoping is a way like in the conversation thread, just press and hold the message you want to delete and the option appears...

bro i know how to go to download mode , but "  try go to recovery mode. wipe cache partition + dalvik cache " , how to perform this step ?

i am just sharing this info to those who is concerned about their privacy. if you have no issue with this or not affecting you, then just ignore it. Most of us are ignorance, obviously we dont know anything about privacy. If you or anybody choose to be one of them, no one can stop it. whether i am throwing grenade to spread phobia, guess you have no right to say so because we are free to throw anything in the forum, especially something that beneficial to SGS2 community (at least to those who are concern about their privacy)

Seriously, I'm begining to think that un-uniform degradation of organic elements leading to general screen quirkiness is a trademark of most AMOLED screens in general.

I mean, we never look at something that's fully in one colour, except in rare instances (i.e. checking the screen for defects, ironically). So as EACH SAPERATE PIXEL degrades after use and EVERY COLOURED IMAGE lights up random amounts of said pixels... ugh.

We need a longer lasting inorganic OLED alternative.

Oh, while work has been absolutely killer over here these past few weeks, I've managed to curik some time to go back to my original WidgetLocker config.



Very little battery drain too, it seems (comparable to my old ExecAssist lockscreen), so prolly sticking with this as it offers more functionality.

Which is funny bcause I ran away from WL last time due to battery drain. Maybe it was my experiments with Tegrak back then (was testing schedulers at the time).

Hey guys, im new to android..i have been having problems with my galaxy s2... I keep getting an error saying " The app TwLauncher (process com.sec.android.app.twlauncher) has stopped unexpectedly.Please try again."
the only option i have is to force close... i have tried doing the hard reset, erase all memory, but its still not going away.. N after i presse force close, my home screen widget all goes back to stock, d one with d accuweather widget, apmobile widget n others..so i have to change it 1 by 1 to how i want it again..

N when i use my phone for a day without the twlauncher crashing, i realise the phone slows down, getting out of call logs n contacts will take a few seconds.. compared to my friends phones it nvr slows down..
N after twlauncher crashes, it restores ill get back the normal speed... pls helpp...if i should go bck to samsung?

Thanks for the quick response guys.. yes i installed go launcher from the market..  but i uninstalled it, n frm what i can recall it started crashing after i uninstalled the go launcher...the go launcher could have messed up my rom?

After that i tried rooting my phone,flashed to insecure kernel, rooted n then flashed bck to secure kernel.. but it still crashed..so i flashed it bck to insecure, then unrooted it bck, and then flashed bck to secure... I never changed d rom at all. can go to samsung like this?

After all that, i did the hard reset, it still crashes..
What should I do?

Have u guys experienced this before? N go launcher is not reliable?

Have urll experienced d 2-3 seconds delay when exiting contacts or call logs?

I was very pissed off by Maxis yesterday.  I called the customer support to check SGS2 stock availability around 12 something noon , and the guy told me KLCC got litmited stock and was first come first serve. 

So I rushed to KLCC during my lunch hour around 1pm, and asked the maxis stuff there, but then the guy told me that so called "limited stock" and first come first serve, was only reserved for the customer bookings only, not for walk-in customer. 

!@#$%^&* maxis, wasted my petrol, time and parking fees and got nothing.

benny , i'm using stock 2.3.4 rom now , buthen on the lock screen , when u wanna unlock , u move the screen to aside to unlock right .. but y ah , like very hard to unlock , is there any setting i can set ah ? or do they have those slide to unlock bar thing ?

and when i wanna wake my phone from sleep by pressing the home button , take 1-2 second only can wake the phone . is this normal ? compare to iphone, it's kinda sluggish !

Alternative setting/location security/setup screen lock,  here you can set a pattern to unlock it
You can try widget locker a paid app. Try the trial version first
Mine wakeup is immediate. I did read few users complain it takes 1-2 secs. I have flash so many type of roms it is always immediate, so dont think is rom related
