I plan to buy a budget phone, which not more than 750 as a gift to my sister. The most important thing is the screen with vivid color eg. Super Amoled but the price of super amoled phone is beyond my budget, so any recommendation? How about Xperia Mini

GUYS ! I'm in dilemma now !
Which phone should I get ? Incredible S or Galaxy S+ ?

This will be my first Android phone, upgrading from Nokia S40.
I've tested the phones and knew their specs.

Both phones are in the same price range, but there's a huge difference between them which is the build quality, HTC is more solid while Samsung is more plasticky and cheap.

S+ also have lower res camera with no flash but IS has higher res photo with flash but video rec. sucks.
IS also have lower battery capacity than S+ which it's difference is 200mAh (?)

S+ have Super AMOLED while IS has only S-LCD, screen isn't really a problem with me as long as it's "seeable".

About the launchers, I'm more familliar with TouchWiz since I've used TW many times before and I find sense's UI is more laggy compared TW.

Both have the same GPU, RAM is not a problem for me as I don't leave much apps open all the time.
Processors as everyone knows S+ packs an overclocked Snapdragon proc while IS is the 1Ghz. SD proc.

My biggest problem is the battery and the camera. I prefer higher res camera with flash but video recording kinda sucks and I don't really like the Sense UI. IN the same time S+ have higher battery capacity, lower res camera with no flash, better launcher (IMO).

HOW HOW HOW ?  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Thanks for the replies.
@Daniel - I feel that the Sense UI kinda stutters abit, that little bit when scrolling and panning though home pages, but as they say you can just download 3rd party launchers which is no problem for me. biggrin.gif

@Xeactor - Thanks but I don't really like the design of that phone, but it's an awesome phone though.

Guys I think I might go for the IS for the solid build and rubberised back with 8MP camera.

1. Brand. - Any
2. Budget. < RM1000
3. Specs. - Better or equivalent to my Huawei Ideos X5
4. What you need in the phone - Easy to root, install custom ROM etc (rules out the Xperia Neo, HTC Desire Z), nice big screen (rules out the Wildfire S, Galaxy Ace, SE WT19i), fast processor (rules out Motorala XT720, Wildfire), responsive screen (rules out CSL Mi410)

RAM, storage etc are pretty much the same across most phones. So i guess its not very important.

Please dont recommend LG Optimus One, CSL Mi300, Samsung Galaxy 5 etc, as those are budget androids. Looking for something midrange and above.
