Hi I'm looking for an Android phone Must:
Have good battery life
Not be bulky
Preferably have physical keyboard
Not be slow/laggy
be Durable
Ok ok camera.

I like Samsung the best but might get Sony Xperia.. not sure
Preferably less than 1.5k. Cheaper than 1k would be great Currently looking at Galaxy Ace or S Plus. Don't know if keyboard would be better..

Ace is not a good choice.

Less than 1k, you can try Xperia Pro, Desire S, Xperia Neo, Nexus S.

What's wrong with Ace? Doesn't have to be less than 1k I guess since my parents will be paying for it lol. But not super expensive also la. Don't really like HTC but Nexus S looks quite nice. What abt Galaxy R? And any idea how much is S Plus?

If samsung better take Galaxy W or Galaxy S+ instead of Ace.

Nexus S can get from authorized dealers @ around 1k+-. It's still ori set If AP then maybe 9xx. U can just go to any phone shops to get S+, but make sure check whether the warranty is from official samsung(ori) or other company(AP)

Personally dont like S+..no flash for camera...

allow me to correct you on these stuffs .
Although megapixel didnt contribute the most in quality , the nexus s cam is still crap when compared with other phone .
and processor wise the 400Mhz will surely give more speed .

You may not agree with me but its the fact when 1Ghz < 1.4Ghz when both have the same cpu architecture and gpu .

Since when Qualcomm and Enynos are having same GPU? One is Adreno and another one is PowerVR.
Nexus phones aren't high end droids, these driods are for developers.
What is the point having more extra processor speed and drain extra juice while you won't need an extra 400Mhz to run basic applications? Unless you are in heavy multitasking. Think about it, since this is recommendation thread I gonna end this here and not gonna bring this to another level.

P.S. If you concern about camera quality, pick Arc if you are a person who likes vanilla android, stability, snappiness comes along, first to up-to-date. Pick Nexus, end of story.

By same i mean similar performance not the same model . The cpu is base on ARM architecture . ARMv7 for both of Exynos 3110 and msm 8255 should be similar to each other.
The 3DMarkMobile benchmark , GLBenchmark 2.0 suite and 3DMarkMobile ES 2.0 V2 shows that those two gpu is near to each other .
I don wan to go into those benchmark thing because the forum reader will probably won be able to understand it . So i stop here , if you are interested in deeper debate pls do pm me since this is a recommendation tread so i will stop here.

"Unless you are in heavy multitasking " i don think so . The 400Mhz more would makes 3D fireflies live wallpaper run better on arc S than nexus s and it is a basic UI decoration . The cost of battery drain is certainly worth when compare to extra 40% of cpu .

At last camera quality , thats the point that Arc > nexus s alot and you just lightly bring it over .
And those above tread still mentioning nexus s cam is not a weak point when compared with Arc's cam which i don think so . It has a crappy cam . Its not wrong because u defend your phone blindly like those iphone user but i cant agree that your "MEGAPIXEL theory" can be applied on this case .

at the moment, i think SE camera on their android is leading the way. Even SGS2 is on part with SE xperia mini pro only. IMO la when i compare those pictures taken on my SGS2 vs xperia mini pro.

Actually, does Android scale the CPU speed on demand? Even without apps like Overclock Widget, I noticed my CPU usage spans across a range of clock speeds when viewed in CPU Spy, from around 200Mhz to max speed

You view on phone or on PC?

why is the desire s ap and ori have too big price difference? other phone have not so much difference

Mostly for the same price range:
SE will get the best camera
Google Nexus will get the most updated firmware
Samsung will be best all rounder
HTC will win best UI
