Desire S off the top of my head. Any others?

Act i m comparing between Xperia Neo n SGS ( and also HTC Desire S ap set). Are the 2 smartphones audio quality same? And, the internal memory for xperia neo is quite small (320m). What prob may occur for low internal memory ( will it cause some apps cannot be installed?)
*
Low internal memory would not cause apps rendered unusable but you might face lag due to the low internal memory. You can always force app2sd. But you have to be rooted to do that and sometimes apps may not work correctly.

SGS's sound quality would definitely be better whether with a audiophile headphone or just the internal speaker itself.

had 2 models in mind now

SE Arc vs Galaxy SL

the more siding towards arc becoz of the design but what worries me most is :-

1. Performance - gaming + gps
2. Custom ROM - alot of reference on galaxy compared to arc
3. Internal storage - arc is way way smaller than sgsl (4GB) causing alot of app to be installed into removable media which way cause alot of lag

If so, go for the older SGS. Better GPU compared to both of these phones, and you can have 16GB internal storage. There are also a lot of roms.

Galaxy R is not worth the wait since dual core apps aren't fully integrated yet. And on single core apps, the tegra 2 is reported to be weaker than single core phones. If you're not going for phones with a 1.2ghz dual core i.e: SGS2, Sensation its recommended you go for better single core alternatives.

yes there's no flash and its plasticky, but for a bit more $, i suggest the newer model Plus vs 1 year old S or the nexus.
not proven, but samsung claim they tweak the new model to have better performance and also battery life.

added: http://androidcommunity.com/samsung-galaxy...marks-20110811/
*
At that price I would suggest getting the Incredible S instead. The Nexus S is definitely better battery life wise compared to most models of the Hummingbird SOC.

The Plus is running the 8255T which is a factory overclocked version of the 8255(Desire S/Xperia Neo/Xperia Play/etc) which means gaming wise, the Nexus or the older SGS is still more powerful.

If the user doesn't intend to do HEAVY multitasking, the 400mhz or at least 200mhz is just a waste. Benchmark wise it might seem like a very good processor but practical wise, its not much different than a 1GHZ 8255 since they're of the same series and apps are already very fluid on the 8255.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, a higher clocked processor consumes more battery right? hmm.gif

yes, i do remember that the HTC Inc S is one of the most popular phones recommended here, thats why i brought up the Plus.
in the end, the Incredible and Plus are just the same in terms of the msm8255 and adreno 205, except the Plus is clocked slightly faster.
also i think that amoled screen and samsung tweaks are interesting because it's got advantage in battery life than the Inc S.

in the end, i guess its just down to whether u prefer HTC or Samsung device smile.gif
*
The S-AMOLED screen is certainly fascinating but it won't appeal to people who prefers more subtle and real colours.

About your last point, I do not agree with that because the Incredible S suits beginner users more due to the friendlier UI and performs well out of the box.

I don't see why would the Plus be recommended to the Incredible S except from the point that the Ori sets costs the same as the Incredible S's AP sets.
