Battery life wise, all phones below RM500 are roughly the same.
I suggest you go for the cheapest one though. CSL MI-300. RM299.

Else, you should top up around another 100 for an SE Xperia Mini.

Note: Xperia mini is not Xperia X10 Mini

SE Xperia Mini is all you can get within that price range.
You might want to top up another 150-200 to get an AP SE Xperia Neo. It's a better choice.

Ace is not a good choice.

Less than 1k, you can try Xperia Pro, Desire S, Xperia Neo, Nexus S.

I don't recommend S plus. Rather go for the older SGS. Or Galaxy W/Nexus S.
