u use flashtool to flash doomlord kernel?
i watched back the "how to root X10" video. There said need to downgrade then upgrade kernel.
how to do this when u flash doomlord kernel? u just upgrade the kernel?
now doomlord kernel is ftf extension. previously doomlord kernel can flash via xRecovery...

same thing happened to me..
IMEI number change...
they say need to change the chip/cpu... thus IMEI number change...
first few batches of X10 usually got this problem...

not sure bout X10mini into X10... sounds wierd...

guys, these two ROMs same or not? quite blur2 cause both also zmod and got wifi problem...
difference is zmod-vmod use doomlord kernel while CM7-VMOD use zkernel...

just flash it over Zkernel, didnt do anything else

u use the ftf file and flashed it using xRecovery?

btw, u using ZMOD-VMOD or CM7-ZMOD?

zKernel is a kernel for the locked bootloader, thus it can only be flashed through xRecovery. DoomKernel V5 is for unlocked bootloader. If you flash the ROM(ZMOD-VMOD) while using zKernel, I don't think there's any problem. DoomKernel is just a recommended kernel for the ROM.

@arthur88, I have used Z's CM7 and there's no problem with the WiFi. What kernel are you using? Make sure you flash the WiFi module AFTER you flashed the ROM(if any).

btw, u using doomlord v5 kernel?

i'm using ZMOD003, just flashed the Doomlord lock bootloader, and everything is done! not problem at all, no force close, no nothing, everything run smoothly, battery can last 3 days if rarely use, and 2 days if moderate use, but make sure you calibrate the battery after flash the ROM

You can't sync with Facebook? What ROM? Kernel?

afaik, wifi module is included in ZMOD hotfix patch, just flash that, then after that flash doomlord's kernel

there is only one v5 doomlord kernel rite? just that there are variation of v5 depend on what type of ROM u using...

Like I told you, DoomKernel needs it's own wifi module. So flash it.

And obviously, just read the kernel's thread.

read a few times...didnt mention anything about what i want to know...i know the doomlord kernel thread say need flashtool to flash his kernel...but using flashtool, i watched back the "how to root your x10" video, in the video got instructions to downgrade kernel before u upgrade...so...in doomlord kernel, just upgrade the kernel or need to downgrade then upgrade?


Hzu, i know doomlord kernel got its own wifi module, but in CM7 ZMOD ROM got its own hotfix that got wifi fix...
i'm still in zkernel...i got read the kernel thread, fyi...

How did you come up with watching that video? Rooting is something else. Don't you worry, just flash the kernel. It doesn't matter if you downgrade first, because once you flashed it, it will overwrite the current kernel.

As for the wifi module, I have already told you, it needs its OWN wifi module. Yes, ZMOD has that hotfix, but its for the ROM. The wifi won't work on DoomKernel if you don't flash the module. So flash the hotfix first, then the module. The same goes for every ROM.

in CM7 ZMOD 003 hotfix, ady got the wifi fix. if you talking about doomlord's kernel's wifi module, i completely understand that, and i got mentioned i;m still using zkernel, not yet flashed to doomlord kernel...u thought i'm ady using doomlord kernel izzit?

No, I don't. I'm correcting what ivan said. He(she?) said he uses doomkernel and he just use the hotfix. I think he forgot to state that he also flashed the module?

seriously, I didnt flashed the module, i just flash ZMOD003, then ZMOD hotfix 003, then i noticed that the battery life is very poor, and the reading at CPUSpy is scrambled up, so I make some observation at ZMOD thread and many of them said Doomlord's kernel works best with ZMOD, so I just download Doomlord's kernal and flash it, that's all, and I've been using more than a week now, nothing bad happen, wifi connects properly, absolutely no problem at all, and I flash Doomlord's kernel with Xrecovery
