1. Is there any easier way like using Z4Root?
2. How do I know my Xperia is Bootlocked?
3. Is there anyone have try using LION’S PRIDE 2.3.3 V2 Released 10/7/11? Whats the best ROM around for xperia?

1. No.
2. Use S1Tool by the_laser(search the XDA X10 forums).
3. I have not tried, and there is no best ROM for X10. You have to test any ROMs which caught your attention, and stick to which you prefer.

And about HD games, not all can be played. Most new HD games will run very slow on X10, or even can't be run.

I use the official CM7 and it's the best I've ever tried. I have no problems at all. Everything is smooth. And I always have lots of free memories too.

With CM7-ZMOD, I always get FC on CyanogenMod settings upon bootup. No matter what I do, it just won't work.

Am I lying?

U mean FXP042 from FXP(CM)? I'm still waiting for official stable release sad.gif

Hopefully it will be super stable biggrin.gif

I don't know why, but it's super stable for me. Every device performs differently.

@Ivan, yes, CM7-ZMOD never gave me any problems. I lied.

OK EVERYONE LET ME EXPLAIN THIS.

CM7 ZMOD VMOD is BASED on CM7 ZMOD, there is NO problem if you DON'T UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER. You only need to unlock the bootloader IF you WANT to use the recommended kernel(DoomKerneL V5) -- this is what I assume, as I don't think there will be any problem since it's based on a ROM which wasn't made for unlocked bootloader unless the cooker made some changes which requires an unlocked bootloader. Read the dognam thread and ask there if you are unsure.

CM7 ZMOD, is what CM7 ZMOD, is what CM7 ZMOD VMOD based on, I think you are familiar with this and I don't think I need to explain about it.

CM7 is NOT a ROM like Wolf's ROM. Wolf's ROM are based on SE STOCK ROM, while CM7 is a ROM by the CyanogenMod Team, which is based on AOSP and have many modifications, tweaks, blablabla, etc, etc.

That's all, nothing more, nothing less.

CM7 ZMOD vs FXP CM7.
CM7 ZMOD = A port of official CM7 for N1.
FXP CM7 = Official CM7 for X10, not ported from any devices and made from CM's official sources.

This, I'm not sure. You can ask in its thread.

lol! the point is not about every single app run in background or not, the point is that is how it works, number of apps affects your phone performances
*
No they are right. 100 apps or 200 or even more (yes, I know someone with an X10 who has more than 100 apps and he still have a lot of RAM) doesn't matter as long as they don't eat your RAM by staying in the background all the time, like your apps. Once I see your list, I already knew what's the problem with you not getting many RAM. I prefer not to have many apps in the background -- hence no widgets, no monitoring apps, nothing. I always force close Facebook when I'm not using it. It won't start back as long as I don't touch it. The same for all apps I have.

The result is, I got 160++ RAM when everything has been closed. You will 200 is possible I think, if we stop all cached process. Many apps install might slows down the device, but it's not RAM related. It's the storage's problem.

Also, your CPU governor, scheduler and SD card also play a role in the device speed. If you have a lot of apps in the SD card, it might be slow if the SD card is low class. Governor, I recommend noop or deadline. BFQ should be good for X10 as X10 only has 1Ghz of CPU, but it's still experimental and my X10 always stutters while using it.

Added on November 2, 2011, 4:31 pmAnd I highly recommend SuperCharge V6 script.

Um, SuperCharger isn't only to get the maximum free RAM possible. It's all about memory management. My device feels a lot snappier and less lagging after using it.

Also, the apps I mean is apps which DO NOT stays in the background.

For your second paragraph, I don't understand what you mean. Yeah, it doesn't hurt anything when force closing Facebook, and any other apps equivalent. And I get free RAM in return, so what's the problem? That's what I want.

And extra freespace? What do you mean? What freespace?

Well, I only close things that I don't even use (where they started on their own, e.g. DSPManager).

To stop wasting my time and energy to press force stop all the time, I froze it.

I don't have much apps installed, and not much apps which runs in the background (only 4-6).

I know how GB works, I've read that article, I just don't care.

I don't like to see apps I don't use lurking in the shadows. And I don't like to see the "Running Services" list to look long and messy too.

That's all.

No, downgrading the kernel alone is easier if you wish to preserve your current system without losing any data.

Went to SE center just now to ask about my de-pressed and soft back button.  Was told it is not under warranty.  If want to change, need to change the whole housing, RM3xx.  Warranty only applies if button doesn't function.

Break the button, and claim for warranty. Easy.

safest way to update x10 firmware by using seus?
what happen if in the middle process, my internet connection disconnected? nothing happen?
my niece currently having firmware 1.6..
i want to help him to upgrade the firmware
latest now 2.3.3 right?
*
Look, nothing will happen if you lost your internet connection apart from the download stopping at where it is currently, but if the download is already done, internet connection doesn't matter, what matters is your USB cable. Make sure it's tight, not loose, just don't accidentally kicked the USB while it's installing the firmware, because you're going to waste your time since you will have to wait for it to restart the installation process. Installing firmwares takes few minutes, but time is precious no?

And yes, even if your USB is disconnected while it's installing, nothing will happen. Just do it again, unless if you disconnected your USB while unlocking the bootloader, then yes. Your phone might be bricked.

Uh, it is old. This phone came in 2 years ago, it's old. Plus, SE released tons of new phones this year, making it waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy older.

Same from the outside, but not same from the inside.

For you yes, it might be enough for daily use, but for those nerds, high-end faggots, it's not. They don't learn to 'bersyukur', or appreciate the things they have.

but i want to use current WB into unlocked BL and Doomkernel..

any1 know how to use the new flashtool to unlock bootloader?
*
Get the batch files from the_laser thread. Use them, might be easier (I used them, and there were no GUI alternatives, but like what I thought many people will have problems with the GUI alternatives). And be sure to run S1Tool first.

0. GET THE KERNEL DOWNGRADE FIRST, JUST LOOK FOR THE AZUZU GINGERBREAD 2.3 ROOT METHOD THREAD AND FLASH IT VIA FLASHTOOL. biggrin.gif
1. Download the batch files and S1Tool from the_laser bootloader unlock thread from XDA (USE THE SEARCH FUNTION). biggrin.gif
2. Run S1Tool, plugin your phone in flashmode, and press do job (hold back key until texts appears). Check if it said SEMC certificate or SETool2. biggrin.gif If you get unknown..... Don't even bother to unlock your bootloader. >:D
3. If you get SEMC certificate, then run qsd8250_semc.cmd. If you get SETool2 certificate, run qsd8250_setool2.cmd.
4. It will say "PRESS ANY DAMN KEYS happy.gif", but before that, plugin your phone in flashmode, hold the back key and press any key at your keyboard. DO NOT RELEASE THE BACK KEY. biggrin.gif WAIT UNTIL EVERYTHING IS DONE AND IT SAID "PRESS ANY DAMN KEYS happy.gif" again, and press any key on your keyboard. biggrin.gif
5. FLASH BACK THE KERNEL YOU ARE USING OR ANY OTHER KERNEL FOR UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER (DOOMKERNEL V5 is recommended). biggrin.gif

tried.press back button few times when S.E word came out but it will still continue normal boot. cry.gif
Unroot and root again then install back x recovery same happen.
*
Method 1
Check where is your busybox. If it's in the /system/bin/, check if xrecovery is also in the same folder. If it's in the /system/xbin/, check if xrecovery is in the same folder. If they are in a different folder, install xrecovery to where busybox is located. I recommend the manual method if you can't get it the automated installer to work (including Flashtool).

Method 2
Usually the automated installers will install at /system/bin/, because that's where busybox is usually installed. So, just get busybox installer from the Android Market and install set the busybox location to /system/bin/ (yes, even if you already had busybox installed) and reinstall xrecovery.

No, x10_build.prop_v2.zip is required or your phone will be recognized as SO-O1C instead of X10.

damn, i can't flash kernel on my phone using the flashtools.

but i can root it with zerg method.

anyone with similar problem?

Uh, I don't think you have unlocked your bootloader yet. Flashing a kernel for unlocked bootloaders (which only can be flashed via Flashtool) requires your phone to have its bootloader unlocked.
