Any Ford Focus owner who can share knowledge on their 2006 2.0 H/Back issue??

I have mine whereby everytime i put in my car key, turn to III, it will beep 5 times. Then i can start the car nicely. The beeping sound worries me.

Went to Tr Mantap Cheras this noon. They said there's no faulty signal from the meter cluster... Hence no prob wor...

Till now im still abit worried ler.

Anyone can enlighten me??

Oic.... But just now it didnt beep, when i closed my driver side dor, wait the cabin lights to go off, then only plug in key and start ignition.

Also, my reverse sensor sometimes beep normally and sometimes not upon engaging Reverse gear... It beeps continuously on a long single beep, even there's no object nears my bumper...

Is it something wrong with my fusebox or battery got problemo??

The seatbelt beeping is well aware.

Now is the reverse beep... Sometimes work properly, sometimes not...

Is it because the fuse??

I'm hoping for a mondeo TDCI or something

for spare parts, i guess its widely available since the market is growing here in Malaysia.

Remember the clause "when market demand grows, so is the supply".

also, the parts will definitely slightly higher than Japs since its a "Conti" car. You pay for what you get. Look at the bright side, how solid and well built the car is. So, there is a price to pay for.

to be honest, i just get my used 2006 Focus 2.0 Hatch. Really love it... pampered by the interior and driving experience which you wont really get in Japs car.

I get a quote today for replacing all my brake pads... Just the 2 pairs for front and back cause me rm650...  Air filter rm120....

Wondering it does cost that much..

Btw, is it true that our Focus doesnt need to change air filter?? Mine is like simce 2006...

Hi Focus owners. I'm planning to get a hatchback <100K. Thinking of a used focus. Dream car is WV GTi, cannot afford now:P

Need something half that price. Now also reading about Satria Neo as well. I've not driven the neo, but have spent few hours driving the Focus ST-manual. It felt great. I'm very keen of the new Focus. Like the interior quite a lot especially the HUD. I like the new Focus even more, better all round. Would not mind waiting a year if can find a one year used car ...I hope

Could Focus owners list the downsides/problems of having a focus hatchback? Either normal petrol or TDCI version. Want to know what it's like to own on a daily basis. Also, how good the NVH at 110-130 KM cruising speed?

Yes, the petrol model does drinks fuel like no limit... My year 2006 hatch gets rm0.22 per km.... Which is very costly to me actually.

NVH is ok to me.. Last weekend fly 160kmh on North South highway... Wind noise is noticeable along with rear tyre noise.

Any idea to improve my fuel consumption?

if FC is really your concern, i swear TDCI is the way to go

i've recently change job. i stay in kinrara and my office is near sunway monash uni. all the way down the road.

its nottt too far away, if sunday drive no jam, takes about 15-20mins max to get there. but u know, tat stretch there is usually JAM UP.

my best achievement so far counting by days and not mileage.
i pump 1 full tank on 10/5/2012 (rm90.50, 50.277litre, travel 655.3km) but lasted me until 3/6/2012 before i had to refill. 23days

Care if I ask whether fiesta still have the steering sound problem?? I heard few of these problem and taking like changing few times and it still come back.

I can accept if it's a few of electronics problem which you can still drive without it. But mechanical parts that's what I worry about.

when the wiper is switched on, and i engage reverse, the rear wipers automatically wipes once for me!

I almost buy one Ford Focus Hatchback 2007/2008 last week. I cancel booking due to waiting for better offer of 2009-2011model. I also only passionate for white one and the one i booked is grey color which i not prefer. However this cause me obsessive compulsive behavior which I couldn't have day without goggling focus.

2. is it hard to get the parts tak... kalau apa apa rosak do we have to wait weeks for the parts or are they readily available...

i think its shud be nicer to drive.. gonna try to test drive one over the weekend

Tks for your comments ..   Do you think it's worth to invest extra RM13k for the extra gadgets (park assist/city stop/HID/sunroof/curtain airbag/cruise control plus some other minor ones) ? Or should one settle for the non-plus version & save oneself the rm13k ? Of these extra, I can accept that curtain airbag/cruise control may be worthwhile but I'm not sure about others. I can live without sunroof/HID/auto wiper/headlight.. The other 2 main gadget..city stop & park assist sound attractive but of the 2, I think perhaps city stop may be more useful when come to traffic jam...for park assist, is my understanding correct that you must first drive past the empty slot, stop & reverse & park ? If that's the case, it may not help when come to narrow road/lane with car behind you just not stopping for you to make the reverse/park manoeuvre.. my point is how useful it will be for normal day-to-day side parking purpose ? Any comment on this ?

Not all auto wipers are useful. It depends on the sensativity settings. If its set too high like in the case of Peugeot, then it will wipe at even a drop of water which is bad for the windscreen. If set too low, then even if heavy rain, the wipers will be going normal speed. In my K5, the auto wipers are not good which is why many owners dont really use it.

Just got a ford focus brochure. Stated there 3 yrs free maintenance and 5 yrs (or 200k km) warranty!!! Not on the printed brochure but on the glossy brochure. Sure 5yrs??? Good news if it's true. SDAC is listening. Overall very nice car, just that rear middle seat, no headrest, don't think can sits 3 comfortably at the back. Rear interior not large but just sufficient imho....

uprated pads should be good.. and of course, performance tires as well.. the stock tires are what, NCT5 if im not wrong? really not ngam with the car.

i trade-in my ori rims and tires after a week and got quite alot for it.
i guess certain oem rims are worth something.
upgraded from 16" to 18"
