QUOTE(John91 @ Oct 16 2011, 02:43 PM) Different segment la brotha... here don't zha back Ford owners la, VW can lah ahaha... the Fiesta is a great car on its own. Other than back seat comfort which I agree with you. Fiesta front seat is also not suitable for fat ppl due to the body hugging nature

QUOTE(moon* @ Oct 17 2011, 03:08 PM) @ Bliz; i m amazed as well. i m not sure if different diesel from different brand affects the FC/Power or not. but i m using ESSO. and i kinda converted my closed box to an open pod too i feel more power, pickup. i notice the FC is quite good as well. perhaps more air to the engine? plus i can always hear tat sucking n whooossssshhhh sound heheh.. latest FC i had was 688.8km on esso RM 87 @ 48.33L Do u mind taking pictures of the conversion? I wanna try and see if i can get the same FC as you, my fuel also Esso but my fc is not that good

QUOTE(John91 @ Oct 18 2011, 07:58 PM) If you study internal combustion engines, you will know that a turbodiesel engine will always have better fuel efficiency and consumption than a petrol engine. Heck, a turbodiesel engine is the most fuel saving among all the other types of engines. Not taking hybrid cars into account. So, not much discussion there. We have people reportedly going up to 1000km full tank on a Focus while on a Fiesta I think the best someone ever hit was 600+km. You are also comparing a 80k price range car to >100k car... Its really up to the driver/ user la. If I had the budget I would go for a Polo GTI compared with a Focus, although Focus has better fc. Polo gti is damn small lar, last time i also wanted to get one but after seeing the real car i just forget about it... Polo gti is stiff riding and not going to be as comfortable but for the pocket rocket type of buyer it's one of the best around

QUOTE(moon* @ Oct 21 2011, 09:34 AM) ehm.. when i spoke to the manager of the sdac, he sed probably mid year? or even later. IF they bring in the new focus anytime soon, it would be the PETROL version first, den down the road only introduce the TDCI version i think. so tats y i decided to get the tdci now n duwan to wait for it. n besides the white tdci looks super fierce like a raging bull lol. Let's just wait for the ecoboost 1.6 petrol version to be launched This post has been edited by Bliz: Oct 21 2011, 02:21 PM

QUOTE(Dias @ Nov 6 2011, 09:19 PM) My driving style is more towards milking as many kilometer per litre as possible in the most efficient manner. That's why I don't press the pedal harder than what is required. And I'm not sure if it will place unnecessary stress to the engine if the pedal was being pressed hard constantly on L. No wonder your FC is superb, if only i can have your discipline.... That day just pedal to the metal all the way from Puchong Toll to Melaka , must be really lousy FC despite on highway 40% of the time

QUOTE(Dias @ Nov 7 2011, 10:58 AM) Well, tracking my KM/liter is like a game to me. Always trying to beat or equal my historical stats. I have an obsession over this kind of stuff. Unfortunately for the past 4 weeks it has been raining like nobody's business. So many traffic jams because of waterlogged roads during peak hours (everyone suddenly slows down and causes a backlog of cars, lorries and buses). Even my FC for Shell has taken a hit; should be around 16+ km/l but now it's 15+ km/l. That's back to like Esso standards. But then, on a like-for-like basis, I might be hitting only 14+ km/l on Esso under the same traffic conditions. Hhaa i also track my FC every tank but my right foot is just too heavy to achieve reasonable FC.. my city drives get me around 11km/litre only

QUOTE(twtang @ Nov 10 2011, 10:57 PM) Nice ! I have tested drive Fiesta today though I am a Forte owner but always appreciate good car no matter what brand it is. The handling was great, but maybe I am used to the 2.0l power that I am having, the 1.6 didn't satisfy me. But, the Ford Focus TDCI is amazing (by looking at the stats) + the interior quality. Moon, How is the car so far? I am so tempted to get this diesel car. Which 2.0 are u having? I bet u even petrol turbo owners will be satisfied with focus tdci

QUOTE(kienu @ Jan 2 2012, 04:31 AM) best ever Ford Focus TDCI promo now? anyone can enlighten? can its straight line speed beats a Mazda 3 2.0? Any petrol non turbocharged 2.0 won't beat the TDCi for pickup, if u are talking about top speed, then maybe can. Tdci top speed is only around 200km/h

QUOTE(gahpadu @ Jan 2 2012, 09:23 AM) 0-100 kmh, i think mazda 3 got the advantage due to responsive petrol engine but during roll start , surely M3 gonna be beaten.. last week , it quite fun to 'play play' with 520i but stock TDCi run up to 200kmh only 0-40 only, 0-100 sure is tdci faster, 9.5seconds from 0-100km for tdci... i doubt the petrol mazda 2.0 can do that with 145hp engine
