Well, I do have experience with cars with EPS steering at home which belong to my parents and siblings but none of them felt as light... somehow I felt not that confident when the steering of car is too light. On top of that, it's steering also not that communicative as what ford is famous for...

Had the chance of testing almost everything of the FFT+ during their prelaunch test drive.
Switch from HE 1.8 straight away to it, not only because of the indefinite wait but also totally won over by the FF features.
I think it was because of the pre-launch thingy, I had the luxury of testing almost all the features especially the torque vectoring at work, rounding a round-about and still feel very planted. Loved the driving dynamics and the car handling.
There doesn't seemed to be much interest with the FF online or over here, not like the HE (already got few threads before launch and few FB groups).
So for your info, I'm probably one of the early adopters of this car. I have been driving it for a few days now, yes, got it not long after the official launch and I'm loving every bit of it.
Of course, there is no perfection, especially for those at the back seat.
I agree the spaciousness is not there.
However if you compare the back seat space with HE, I don't think much difference though. I might be wrong, cos I have been waiting for ages and then suddenly got smitten by FoFo, you get what I mean? 
For the HE 1.8 price, I still feel paying premium for a few things that are lacking.
FoFo is even higher price, over 15k but still I feel there are many features only available on higher end cars.
Other than park assist (which I don't really need), it has cornering lights too.
This is a 'drivers' car as some reviews said. You feel like sitting in a cockpit. 
Power-wise, I felt it is much better than HE especially that I cannot get myself to accept the throttle delay of the HE even after test driving at least 2 times. What can I say, it is sexy, and I don't think FF can beat to its sexiness, but it won almost every other things that I can observe of which I feel is more important.
I've only had it for a few days, so I can't comment much yet, but just wanted to let owners-to-be know, this is absolutely a driver's car.
Of course, my concern is with the FC and also the maintenance after the first 6 free ones.

Oh btw, to use the text messaging on the sync, for it to read your sms, you need to have a phone with Bluetooth AND with Message Access Profile.

cornering lights/lamp, when you do a right/left steer, additional lights brighten up further to the direction you steer towards to. something i saw from the manual and then tested works!
it wasn't even listed on the + version, so i was happy to realize there's something like this, so not sure if the lower spec has it or not.
there's  alot to know if you can get a copy of the owners manual 
i wished i had one earlier..

interior ambient - i think i know what you're looking for, the ambient lighting adjuster and to switch different colour. unfortunately, it is not fitted into this version. it's only red.

yes, the interior door handle got lights, but only for the front two doors...

went to test drive yesterday.
very impressed with the technology in the car.

only two things make me wanna wait.
1. no ecoboost engine
2. screen on center console tiny!

i forgot to mention no paddle shifters
only 4 speed when on manual mode
but does it have the same issues being the same type of gearbox as the vw cars?

I have seen a silver sedan version on the NKVE and out of curiosity, I decided to follow it for a closer look. Surprisingly, even without ecoboost, the new FoFo is quite nimble! I actually had to floor my car for awhile to keep up. The rear end definitely looks much better in the metal than it does on the brochures.

im still on the fence with the lack of paddle shifters/DCT lag/sony HU LOL!
(and still waiting for the sentra to finish loan haha)

jetta (cant afford), honda civic (waiting 2013 facelift or something, 2012 is too fugly), peugeot 408 turbo.

havent test driven all 3 though :S

- well if i get the option to, id kinda want to have paddle shifters to play with during spirited driving
granted, the S mode on the new focus is pretty decent (from the limited test driving i had)

- changing HU means good bye all your integration with the car rofl
best way is to have digital output to an audio processor, cept i cannot confirm if the sony hu has that function/option

- the current "excuse" is that the cars are not run in. also, considering what i've experienced, thats a norm for DCT/DSG. then again, there's always aftermarket performance lubricants such as lubegard which work WONDERS for my car, so that is an option there.

Test drove the Sport+, good handling and rather OK torque. However, there are certain minor details that annoy me.

1) The dashboard and the side panels don't meet/join nicely, dashboard juts out which makes the whole design look misaligned.

2) Some panels are not joint nicely. Again, another misalignment issue.

However, the quality and feel of the interior is good despite the above two issues. Now the question I think is whether Sport+ is worth going for over the Sport.

if your manual mode is referring to the S mode, then mine is able to do all 6 gears..


one more thing about paddle shifters, somehow i like it the FoFo way now instead of sticking on to the steering.
you can turn your steering with your right hand and still shift gears, up or down with only your left thumb.
so i can't figure why people doesn't like it this way, probably personal preference anyway...
the usual steering paddle shift, i cant do a gear change if i have the steering upside down.. u get what i mean?

some people cannot resist after feeling such torque to drive away with something else.
fiesta is okay don't feel so laggy like conventional autoboxes like in city and vios, darn slow.....zugzugzugz

yours is the sedan/hatch. i tried on the sedan only allow me to access 1234.
actually you can unless you talking about those paddle shifters on the steering wheel part that spins around.
if it is a fix point like signal stalks then shouldn't be an issue.

Anymore complaints with the sedan except for interior space?

Question for the "+" owners, does the sunroof affect the NVH? is it noisy when u keep it closed? is it loud when the rain hits the roof?
