its just a rumour btw... i only accept it as a fact when the officials announce it. I dont want to blame anyone but why an already multibillion company wants to drop off such a small burden like utp.. we can already guess that i believe. Enough is never enough for human isnt it.. especially the one with power

hmm I would like to know whether UTP takes foundation student from other Uni for their degree program? eg Uniten.

I planned to finish my foundation in engineering in Uniten then continue to pursue my degree in Petroleum Engineering in UTP. Is that possible?

Yes, it is possible. Got few students taking bachelor degree direct from UNITEN foundation.

assuming foundation in UTAR is accepted as A-level equivalent, then yes you can try your luck for undergraduate degree. i have a couple of my friends who entered through STPM and matriculation results (none did foundie @ UTAR though) during my 1st year

Is it true that Petronas are not giving out scholarship/loan to UTP students anymore? Does this mean new students have to apply for PTPTN/FAMA etc.? If that's true then it truly sucks.

Nah, they still giving loan/scholarship but i saw decreased number in candidates getting scholarship from them.. dunno whether a lot didn't perform good in the interview or they intentionally decrease it. Btw, some of my friends here who got scholar is damn rich.. they suppose to find candidates who are really poor and stuff

Guys, do UTP accept credit transfer from Uniten? I just finished my first 15 credit hours in mech. engineering, but I feel that UTP is preferrable for me. Regardless of the location.

petronas is investing in BRAINS. if u have the brain, they don't care about your family background. after all, they 'own' ur brain after they sponsor ur education. so yeah. they want brainsssss. hahahaha

My SPM result is 3A5B and I heard many of student like 5A++ went to UTP...do I have a big chances to get UTP?Well I can speak English flawlessly as I used it everyday eventhough I'm Malay(Melayu).
