Utp ni mmg taking their own sweet time to settle credit exemption /transfer application ke?? damn! heard from senior, they all hv to settle it on their own. what happen to registration unit? i have submitted since week 2 now it almost the end of semester. any tips?? (getting sicked of it)

u never been to engineering schools before? mostly their ratio to boys are like 1:15.. and with such proportion you'll knew yourself what's the answer. btw no offense but keep all things academic related please


it took them 3months to settle my change of programme application.. i thought i'm the only one i don't know since i'm also one of the freshies, maybe u should ask the big boys at utprcsu facebook page

credit transfer from what i know, u have to settle by yourself but of course meeting with registrar and the head of dept/dean.
you have to provide the list and asking for approval.
but i think they have the max no of subjects/credits, not really sure

how to apply to utp?

I'm a diploma student and applied for the September intake, but sadly I did not get shortlisted.
You guys think I have a good chance to re-apply for the next intake (January)? My diploma CGPA does not have that "WOW" factor, it's only 3.59 (in Automotive). Competition is stiff I guess.

Yup, I'm going to EduCamp on the 28th. I applied for ICT. Can someone explain how is the interview going to be like? >_< I heard from my friend it's like MUET. How are they gonna grade you at the interview?!

Is it okay to wear formal pants to the interview? Btw I'm a girl.

just finished a levels recently but unable to apply for the september intake cause they need my final results which was not release 2 weeks after the deadline so I'm waiting for the jan intake to open and will be applying for the undergrad course in chem eng..
would like to ask how hard is it to enter utp? I met their academic requirements (but not sure about the muet part cause I didn't take muet, only spm 1119 english)
I'll be applying as a self-funded student.
Are there chances where my application will be accepted? Or are there quotas? cause I know there are students students coming in from foundation as well as scholarship holders... ><

What makes it hard is probably because many of those who apply have good grades.
I think muet is not a requirement to get into the university because once shortlisted you will be evaluated through the interview which is pretty simple if you know the issue given well.
About quota, I believe there is quota because the university is not that big, average around 600 per intake maybe (not sure), maybe there are already quota for those who got scholarship (PETRONAS, Mara, JPA, etc) but that is included in the figure.

Oh~ what is the interview like? As in straight in your face honest questions' , 'get to know you interview' or 'strict ones where they ask questions related to field' ?
Kinda intimidated by interviews cause had experienced of doing well in an interview but still failed or left a good impression but not a good answer to their questions
So my luck with anything involving interviews is very bad

This was during my time (2008), I was interviewed for Petronas scholarship and UTP, which I think is still the same now. There has two stage; individual and group. Each of you will be grouped, and given a case study of the same topic per group but different situation per individual. It's more on a case study that basically you have to propose a solution. For example, global warming, traffic jam, international aid, CSR, etc.

For individual, you just present your ideas to two interviewers for about 5 minutes, after basic self introduction.
For group, each present each's idea, and find the best solution among them and propose to the interviewers.

I got traffic jam which was kinda easy for me and I still remember one of my solution was to build flying cars. LOL.

what r the chances are getting in UTP, and what is the admission procedure for international students
