You guys think I have a good chance to re-apply for the next intake (January)? My diploma CGPA does not have that "WOW" factor, it's only 3.59 (in Automotive). Competition is stiff I guess.

I'm a diploma student and applied for the September intake, but sadly I did not get shortlisted.

The group discussion sounds a lot like the MUET speaking test.

I did crap at the test. Thankfully they were multiple choice questions. I couldn't remember a lot of them.
But I think I did pretty well in the individual interview and group discussion. |

QUOTE(zulmanson @ Dec 12 2012, 12:43 AM) bro.what's your interview subject?how's the test?is it really hard? There are no test for foundation applicants, so if you applied foundation there's no need to worry. If you are an undergrad applicant, the test has 60 questions, multiple choices, and you will have 2 hours to complete them. It's divided into 3 subjects, Chemistry, Physics and Maths, 20 questions each. For those who are fresh SPM leavers you might not have a problem. I haven't studied chemistry in 4 years, and my maths and physics have become rusty as well. Thankfully I do remember fragments of them and I can deduce the answers from the choices.Added on December 12, 2012, 12:44 am lol.nevermind. Added on December 12, 2012, 1:19 am multiple choice?so no math test or science test? The subject of the discussion is different for each batch so there's no point in telling you mine. It's about current issues, such as mass media, addictions, etc. etc. QUOTE(a_rev93 @ Dec 12 2012, 01:33 AM) ![]() someone is in trouble This post has been edited by tunertoobe: Dec 12 2012, 07:49 AM |

QUOTE(FallingSt4r @ Dec 25 2012, 09:17 PM) By the way..I'm quite confused about the KIV thingy..there are about 3000 applicants who went the interview and they said 750 will be chosen..they put us in KIV phase now..are those who are not chosen for January intake all get KIV..or some of them is rejected ? I don't know how they work. All I know is KIV means that they're putting us on hold for further revision. Some who did get a KIV did get accepted eventually. The chances are pretty low but still the possibility is still there.BTW, are you an SPM leaver? QUOTE(zulmanson @ Dec 25 2012, 09:27 PM) All old stuff that I can't recall immediately. I usually do better when there's a week of revision. I just don't have the time at home to revise anything much. There were some did show up from my revision, but not much....like 3-4 questions. QUOTE(xiaotim @ Dec 25 2012, 11:17 PM) i haz KIV also... We'll just have to wait and see. the test is sh1t... they shud put maths at 1st physics at last... i confirm i failed half of the maths question... QUOTE(FallingSt4r @ Dec 26 2012, 04:47 AM) Ya, I'm SPM leaver..how can u be so calm at the moment ? At the moment I know I have been reserved, I am so frustrated and hate..I think I did well for the interview part(my assumption:D) and now my friends get the offer except me..what a luck ! By the way u applying for UG or foundation ? (Lazy to read old post ) There's nothing else to do but keep calm. I applied for UG, but I'm a diploma leaver. QUOTE(zulmanson @ Dec 26 2012, 06:57 AM) u too huh bro?i think there's too many people apply for mechanical.my friend who applied for petroleum got the spot.she didn't do well in the test oso but got the spot. I guess they're waiting for people to drop out at the last minute or something. People have done that, because maybe they have applied for other unis and accepted those. |

The reason I'm excited is that the opportunities that can come along after I graduate. It has gone down a bit and placed by disappointment now that I'm 'reserved' rather than accepted.

It seems that for undergraduates in mechanical, the competition is just too stiff.
Oh well, congrats to those who made it, and best of luck! This post has been edited by tunertoobe: Jan 4 2013, 09:48 PM |
