I'm a diploma student and applied for the September intake, but sadly I did not get shortlisted.
You guys think I have a good chance to re-apply for the next intake (January)? My diploma CGPA does not have that "WOW" factor, it's only 3.59 (in Automotive). Competition is stiff I guess.

The group discussion sounds a lot like the MUET speaking test.

I did crap at the test. Thankfully they were multiple choice questions. I couldn't remember a lot of them.

But I think I did pretty well in the individual interview and group discussion.

There are no test for foundation applicants, so if you applied foundation there's no need to worry. If you are an undergrad applicant, the test has 60 questions, multiple choices, and you will have 2 hours to complete them. It's divided into 3 subjects, Chemistry, Physics and Maths, 20 questions each. For those who are fresh SPM leavers you might not have a problem. I haven't studied chemistry in 4 years, and my maths and physics have become rusty as well. Thankfully I do remember fragments of them and I can deduce the answers from the choices.

The subject of the discussion is different for each batch so there's no point in telling you mine. It's about current issues, such as mass media, addictions, etc. etc.

I thought the page was getting irrelevant and degrading. I think the admins have to clean up the page if they want to keep it.

I applied for mechanical engineering. I've never been good with chemistry. Too much stuff in it that I don't care about.

I don't know how they work. All I know is KIV means that they're putting us on hold for further revision. Some who did get a KIV did get accepted eventually. The chances are pretty low but still the possibility is still there.
BTW, are you an SPM leaver?

All old stuff that I can't recall immediately. I usually do better when there's a week of revision. I just don't have the time at home to revise anything much. There were some did show up from my revision, but not much....like 3-4 questions.

We'll just have to wait and see.

There's nothing else to do but keep calm.
I applied for UG, but I'm a diploma leaver.

I guess they're waiting for people to drop out at the last minute or something. People have done that, because maybe they have applied for other unis and accepted those.

The reason I'm excited is that the opportunities that can come along after I graduate. It has gone down a bit and placed by disappointment now that I'm 'reserved' rather than accepted.

It seems that for undergraduates in mechanical, the competition is just too stiff.
