I have finished my diploma in aircraft maintenance. It is difficult to get a job in aviation industry nowadays. that's why im planning to do degree in petroleum engineering. Is it possible to get a job on the same company when practical time? And what's the total cost of the degree?

Possible if you show good attitude and talent, a lot of my friend were 'booked' during internship.

As for the cost, I am not so sure about the current rate. During my time, the range is from 5000 to 6000 for the tuition fees per semester.

May I know the quality of lecturer in UTP for Civil Engineering course?

I'm gonna take applied chemistryin utp. How screwed up am i? And regarding scholarship, can i get a scholarship for foundation when i enter utp?

about the scholarship, if u mean the petronas scholarship, yes you can get, that is if u were accepted. you gotta apply more and try your luck

just keep in mind, nowdays hard to get scholarship. I heard even mara stop sponsoring utp student due to increasing fees.

I'm gonna try for computer engineering for this september degree intake. I'm a bit nervous because this is a new course at utp.

Hi , i got few questions. Hope otai otai here can help. Few years back , my uncles always told me to go to UTP because you'll guaranteed with a job upon graduating. Is this statement still applied in 2016 and the next few years ? Another thing , I heard that petronas no longer funding the utp so utp start taking many more students then the lecture halls and labs became overcrowded. Is it true ? Because i don't think i can concentrate if i need to sit on the stairs.

1) There no guarantee with a job upon graduating but it not because of UTP but oil crisis. Most of my batch Petroleum Eng. and Petroleum Geoscience are struggling to get a job. Yes u can get a job but less chance in O&G industries

2) Yes PETRONAS no longer 100% funding UTP so management increase student intake. During Jan11 intake and below max student only around 200 per batch, but now I heard reach until 1000-1500.

3) Sit on stairs?? For foundation yes but once u entered degree life, mybe management will solve this issues. Mybe split into more class...
