The entry requirements for engineering in UTP is minimum C for Maths, Physics, AND Chemistry in pre-u. Let's say I get at least C in Maths and Physics, but lower than a C for Chemistry. But I also take a fourth subject, Economics, and I got minimum C for this subject. So basically I meet the entry requirements, but not for Chemistry.

Do you all think I can try applying? Would they allow exceptions like this? Economics is also a strong subject, one of the core subjects in pre-u.

i think utp already stop taking student (engineering) from outsiders.
They must from zero at utp i mean foundation.
there only ICT and BIS department that only take student for undergraduate intake

I see. Let's say I start my degree in mechanical engineering in Uniten (I enter Uniten degree with STPM), but my 1st choice was actually UTP, can I transfer to UTP if I want to? It's possible right, something to do with credit transfer?

Really? But, based on this web page, those who intended to pursue their undergraduate engineering programme in UTP are able to do so by having at least an A-level or STPM qualification as a prerequisite for their admission in UTP.

In any case if I've misinterpreted the statement in the given link, then please correct me. Thanks.

Do you know whether students studying engineering in other local private uni's, can they transfer to UTP after having started their degree?

No it's not true. UTP is still taking in students with STPM/Diploma/A-level and equiv. for engineering studies.

In the old days, no. Nowadays, definitely got chance.

Depends on what course though. IT/BIS? Should be okay.

One of the engineering courses (in which case you should ask yourself what the hell do you want to do engineering for, you don't seem to like the Sciences very much as we can tell from your results), maybe not. Try anyway.

I'd say total no but just hope for the best. Nail the interview/camp/whatever if you get the call

I applied in UTP with my trial results:
BM = B+
ENG = A-
Math = A-
Sej = A-
Chem = C+
Physics= B+
Bio = B+
Moral= C+
AddMath= C+

My choices were 1. Chem Engineering
2. Petroleum Engineering
3. E&E Engineering

And I Was Offered My 3rd Choice

My SPM Results

BM B+
ENG A+
SEJ A
MATH A+
Chem A+
Phys A-
AddM A-
Moral A-
Bio B+

Is it possible for me to request for course change to Chem Engineering once im registered in UTP?

Hello seniors I've applied for utp's foundation program and I've already been accepted but now I'm in dilemma as I've failed to score at least a credit in chemistry ... Now the question is will utp still accept me?
*
They did state that its a conditional offer and if you fail to keep thier minimum requirements than they can very well reject your offer
