hi there, when did utp stop offering civil engineering and petroleum engineering? yesterday i tried to apply for may intake and i found out civil and petroleum werent in the lists..so do you have any info about this matter? May i know whether there is CF society there? I heard utp is very strict on dress code.. is it true? Is there any compulsion that we must take Malay language? not gonna lie i suck at it

So for Malaysians dont have to take Malay language? What about Moral or Malaysian studies or something like that?
Is there christian fellowship in utp? I heard the majority students in utp are actually malay..so for non-muslims do we have to wear long pants and have our feet covered all the time?

For moral study and malaysian studies you need to take it, compulsory.

For dress code everyone need to wear smart casual during class... just like normal uni...~

do interviewers prioritize bumiputras when choosing who is actually qualified for a place at utp? I am trying to apply for undergraduate programme. I know there will be an inverview but is there any assessment test? If there is, what king of questions do they actually ask? Is it academic question or general knowledge question? mind sharing some tips on passing the interview and test? Thanks

If you are taking any any sholarship let say PETRONAS, of course there will be interview + assessment test.
for the assessment test i have no idea coz im not pet scholar.

For undergraduate intake, i think they have limit from certain course. The priority is for Foundation student.

For self sponsor you only need to pass the interview. During my time (may 2011) they only want to know how you manage to speak in front of the interviewer. Make sure you talk a lot. Second session is you given a group and you will have a small debate among yourself.
Let say topic is GST is good for Malaysian. So you need to have either you agree or not and give reasons. If you dont know certain english term its ok to speak in malay.

Hello everyone. im newbie here. may i ask a noob question? in oil and gas field, does it have a job tht doesnt required us to offshore . like if im taking mechanical engineer in utp, what can i work as after im graduates from utp? can i still work under oil and gas field? as an engineer but dont want to go to the sea for 2-3 weeks there . but still can visit the plant for just a day? supervise wht are going on there. really need your reply since all of you are expert in this field. thank you in advance
