A grown up super scary version of E.T.
Directed by J J Abrams whose earlier film Cloverfield was a super hit for all bass nuts, this film also has some serious lfe moments. thumbup.gif
The alien in this movie looks like a down sized spider version of the Cloverfield monster.
The use of the super 8 camera produces some serious blue lens flare but this is not as bad as in Star Trek.
Or was it intentional, done post production?I found it to be quite entertaining as in all Spielberg movies.but this is more gritty and real.

I come to know JJ Abrams for his TV series, such as Fringe (my all time favorite), Lost, and Undercovers. Will watch Super 8 when I got my hands on it.

Das Boot-Director's Cut
3 hr and 25 minutes, the definitive submarine flick.
A fantastic watch, never feeling the urge to stop despite it's length.
The grimy, hot and confined space of the submarine is well depicted.
The tension is palpable and well presented. Quiet scenes interspersed with periods of manic intensity.
The ending was also quite a twist, such is the tragedy of war.
AQ 3.5 but the surround mix was quite good. The dripping of the water in the different field was very real
PQ 3.5 for such an old movie, the transfer was admirably done.

Completing Jurassic Park Trilogy.

No regret buying it! Below is my final PQ & AQ rating.

Jurassic Park
The Film - 5 Star
PQ - 4 Star
AQ - 5 Star

The Lost World - Jurassic Park
The Film- 3 Star
PQ - 4 Star (I know I rate it 3.5 previously during preview due to soft scenes, but after completing, I find it actually not that bad and working fine.)
AQ - 5 Star

Jurassic Park III
The Film - 4 Star (I actually quite like this compare with 2nd episode.)
PQ - 4.5 Star
AQ - 5 Star

Extra Features in overall - 4 Star, you get what you want, it is far than enough.

Overall - 4.5 Star, recommended. Don't get fool by low margin user rating the PQ NO star and some even mentioning it is worst than VHS and etc crap. I can only said their TV set problem or their eye is something wrong, maybe brain spoil :P They is no tremendous grains as some user report, what they need to do is proper fine tune the TV set.

More others user review here - http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Jurassic-Par...47/#UserReviews
You can notice most rate PQ 4 to 4.5 star, this proof this set

The tree of life is extremely abstract & visionary conceptual!

The most wonderful cinematography I ever seen! Visually powerful!

It was subjective in masterpiece! You either appreciate it stunningly conceptual or totally not accepting on it.

Unbelievable PQ & AQ.

The film: 5 Star
PQ: 5 Star
AQ: 5 Star
